That is actually a throttle and not a choke. A choke “chokes” the air. That throttle works the same as your gas pedal and most people disconnect them because they are kind of dangerous.
@@steverouland6759 I owe it to the resort to combine it as the experience, that's the approach here. If you notice in my other videos I don't take that approach, because it's a different situation! Thanks for watching though.
As a REAL owner on an "88 Alfa Spider this review was terrible. In addition, these cars should be kept original and with bumpers and what about those louvers on the hood? Further more, I didn't see any way to lower or raise the windows but just a big round "plug" in place of the levers. Finally, a "good turning radius"? This Alfa has the worst turning radius ever, I know because I have been dealing with it for 32 and half years, you learn to live with it. One more thing, yes the trunk is very spacious but the spare tire is nicely housed under the floor and not floating on top as in that car. In closing, if your intent is to have a video on this great car, get to know the car in every detail and this video should have been about the car and not the resort. My 2 cents.
"I'm out here today to enjoy the scenery in a classic sports-car..." Uh, no, you're there to shoot a car video for profit. You are not there steeped in solitude, you have a cameraman and a sound engineer likely tagging along in their own car, maybe riding shotgun in the Alfa...you have innumerable pages of script....please don't tell us you're doing something your not...
@@bigmacdaddy1234 I'm just not into fake stuff...Videos should not be "staged", scripted, & produced...that is where the fiction starts. Wanna do a video right?, make it in a fully uncut, unedited form, that's where the reality is...Know how cameras work, have a stand-alone full fidelity audio recorder to match your video (not your on-board camera recording for sound)...it's not easy if you don't know what your doing.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 Yeah, pretty much...the real-time, edit-free, un-produced stuff really is refreshing to see...there are some "purist" examples out there. Unfortunately, most are the "shakey camera", vertigo inducing types...shot by individuals who have no clue about videography.
What nice countryside and weather you have there in Vancouver - and eye-catching cars to boot ! Enjoyable film.
Do you know if it's still possible to do this? I can't see anything on their website. Great video!

This is move of a commercial for the resort than an Alfa driving video.
I guess you can view it that way. I thought it was really interesting that the resort has this car available, and you can't separate the two.
@@WestCoastSupercarsandClassics You could easily separate the two.

when you shift this car in second gear, you have to do it smothly... not exactly what you did at 9:39...
Haha that's true! Every gearbox is different eh?
Double clutch that baby.
If you look well, the odometer shows very clearly the red line!
LOL well I didn't see it!
I like the bumper delete, but louvers on an Alfa hood...NOOOO!!!
the bumper delete noooo! euro spec bumpers from a 77? yesss!

Well, I happen to like restomods and customized cars, to each his/her own right? I hope you enjoy owning your car!
@@WestCoastSupercarsandClassics As a matter of fact I do and have for over 32 years.
🤣 he calls a spider a coupe
Well it is, technically it's a convertible coupe. So what?
