It's a great pattern, but by opening up the seams and showing others that it lays flatter throughout the whole block, one would see it lays better. I wish you would have done it that way cause we all watched this in a classroom.
@@pathollot5792 true I like opened seams lol How I was taught by my grandmother. But, you do have a point. If it isn't done right anything can distort it when being quilted.

I am waiting for fabric but will not be opening seams unless I shorten my stitch length. Great pattern

The block may lay flatter, but if your seams aren't perfectly done the quilt can pull out of shape on a long arm.
