@@pettykittyfam Her sister really ticked me off in an interview where she throws LE under the bus as if it was their fault she was so messed up and fled the scene of a crash because she was probably drunk - she certainly had enough booze in her car to be suspicious but the family is looking for a scapegoat and it's unfair.
Just saying: college student often have family “deaths.” According to my youngest son I had a severe stroke about 18 months ago. I passed away a few weeks later. 😂 He needed an extension on a couple of projects. Lol

I've listened to a podcast that's dedicated to this case, and I've watched a couple of my favorite true crime UA-camrs' videos on this. There are a lot of details not discussed in this video, which makes total sense since this is a recap. It's a fascinating case. Edit: Hmm... I heard that her dad told her to use a rag because she was having car trouble. That never made sense.
That video that the weirdo guy uploaded on one of the anniversaries of her disappearance is one the most unsettling things I've seen. Very sinister presence and all he does is laugh and then stop abruptly.
@@_sunchildd My comment got deleted by UA-cam, I think because of the name. I'll try to rewrite it. The number 112 is the first part of the name. Then there's "dirt" and "bag". @@pigtailswithbows Haha ya I can see this one. YT was a great place to share and convey info with people back before 2015 or so but it's terribly frustrating now. In addition to the info you gave, all anyone needs to do to see the clip I'm talking about is search for "maura murray laughing man video" and you can find a bunch of articles and videos. Even if that guy had nothing to do with this he's still a huge creep.
I think the simplest explanation is probably that she walked off to avoid a dui and someone driving by picked her up and killed her, or picked her up and dropped her off somewhere else ( like a bar) where she then ran into someone else who killed her.
That would be really unlucky to bump into so many people in different situations who will possibly kill you. There must be lots of nutters in America 😆
Okay… so.. I’m a weirdo, and I remember hearing Maura’s name mentioned maybe being connected to Israel Keyes… so… look.. listen.. Maura went missing on Feb 9, 2004… Brianna Maitland went missing on March 19th of the same year… Maura went missing in Haverhill NH, Brianna went missing in Montgomery VT. That’s only 1 hour 44 min apart. Israel had a habit of traveling to kill and left kill kits of course; close together, both young, ( not that that mattered, he didn’t have a preference of victims, he got away with it for so long by literally using opportunity and planning just the location) same kind of circumstances. But then…. Actual confirmed victims, Bill and Lorraine Currier from Essex VT by Israel Keyes, he confessed… that is less than an hour away from both locations of the other two missing girls. Bill and Lorraine have NEVER been found, (due to destruction and shitty timing and just honestly him knowing how to do what he did well at the time) and NONE OF his other victims have been found except one, his last, Samantha Koenig and that’s only because he told them where and they found her. If they DID find any victims by him, they wouldn’t have known, he made that clear and it’s obvious being only 3 people have been tied to him 100% and only one body has ever been recovered. Soooo… wow… my brain.. this could be literally nothing, but Brianna I have never heard of and as soon as I heard her name and timing my brain just started going and idunno. Anyway… these cases bother me to my core because the truth… I need it.
Sorry Chris I have no answers to this video, but thanks for the hard work that you and Amy put into your video’s it’s very impressive. Take care 👊👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
This family is obviously plagued by addiction and alcoholism. People don’t put enough emphasis on that when telling her story. I think it’s a very understated fact if the case.
There are two brothers who own the same red truck spotted near her car. The local PD covered it up because the ski resort is the main and only way that their town brings in income (from tourists visiting the ski resort).
A REAL MYSTERY THANK YOU HOPE IT IS SOLVED AND YOU DO UPDATE I LOVE YOUR RECAPS I WATCH EVEN WHEN I KNOW THE STORY HOPE YOU DO SOME HALLOWEEN TYPE SHOWS SPOOKY THANKS AGAIN

You have explained this bizarre mysterious disappearance of Maura Murray she seems to be a very smart Woman but having a troubled history the truly sad part is we will never know what really happened
I believe that she just Wanted to Disappear why? I wouldn’t say because of her school classes like nursing’s, it might be due to how difficult her parents were for her to deal with. Rumor has it that her father may Not seem nice person at all as we assumed and I’m not sure i’d Trust him.... because later, when the case went COLD! he declared her being DEAD numerous times until recently. Which for me could be a good riddance to her for choosing to run Away. And I think that’s the real reason why Maura Murray simply disappeared intentionally.
This is a baffling case.I really don't have a theory.I met her dad a few times about a yr.after she vanished, and he told me that he felt there was a cover up by police in N.H.That wouldn't surprise me.
That's unfair to say. It's not LE's fault Maura fled the scene of a crash w/all that booze in her car. It's easy to say there was a cover up but what does he have to back it up? LE's being used as a scapegoat.
Thank you for keeping this up for us to share.. heartbreaking 💔 Blessings to her family🙏❤️🔯✝️.. just julie BSN MSN FNP and Dr Moskowitz.. pocatello, idaho lic-10356.. board of medicine
I don't know if I missed it but when the dogs picked the smell for 100 yards which was did it go? Toward houses towards woods, in the woods, our of the neighborhood? That would help to know or at least give us more of an idea.
For the investigation to try finding beautiful Maura and there not being any footprints in the snow, makes my mind question every~which~way... unknown. How many witnesses are there known, to the "lack" of footprints... How much photographic evidence, is there in this case? Are the photos in evidence? Our love to Maura's true loved ones, and finding the answers to what they long to hear🙏💝🙏 Our Love to you, Amy & Chris💌
I think the day she disappeared. Was her most unlucky day. She crashed a car the night before , she was probably just planning to go away for a few days . Then she crashed her car. And I think she was the victim of a crime of opportunity. I think she got in the wrong car 😬
I think that she was intoxicated and wandered off and her body is out in the wilderness somewhere. It was freezing and snowing. However, I do agree that it was most likely at a second site after being picked up.
Sounds like something a young, impulsive person would do if they were meeting a prospective intimate encounter for the first time. While bus driver, Butch made a sensible suspect, stranger suspects don't usually call authorities and draw attention to themselves. I think she started walking the road and accepted a ride.
She crashed right in front of his house. It would seem suspect if he DIDNT call the cops. He was the last person to see her. I think they should look into Bus driver more. He moved out of state shortly after her disappearance. Also, he failed a polygraph. Apparently, cadaver dogs went crazy in front of his house. Also the bloodhound dogs lost her scent at his driveway. One of the theories is that she hopped aboard his bus, that is why the scent was lost.
I didn't know the cops refused to release the files to the father. That's messed up. If you're gonna hold back little nuggets of info for "investigative purposes" then you need to be out there actively searching every damn day until she's found.
I believe this case will shock me more than anything else if it ever gets solved. I will just be in shock. Brian Shaffer’s story is somewhat similar too. Just vanished.
Just like Brandon Lawson...she is in the woods somewhere but people would rather sit behind a phone and come up with off the wall theories instead of getting up and searching. I'm speaking of locals or people close enough to do so. I am in TX but I would walk those woods if I was able and close. Sad really.
Those woods have been searched and searched and searched and searched some more. And unless she teleported into them, or ran so fast her feet didn't even leave footprints she isn't in there.
Her Dad calling the police incompetent? Ha, his daughter is the one with MULTIPLE self-induced problem after problem after problem. And he also had cash to get her another car yet told her to put a rag in tailpipe rather than repair. That family is a mess!
Theory two... but also I worked with someone who knew her and she said there's allot more to Maura than revealed. What I'm saying is that whatever really did happen is probably the simplest answer. I'm watching as I'm typing and 18:30 What Chris said .. very true
Damn, I quit drinking 7 years ago, a box of Franzia wine was my lowest point, it's funny 2 hear the brand now after so many years away from booze. This is 1 crazy mystery, I hope 4 the best and want peace, at the least, 4 Maura 💕
Seems to me she was in self-destruct mode by the time she took that final car journey. I doubt she set out with the intention of taking her own life but, when she crashed on that road, she maybe just thought "to hell with everything". Depression is a bad enough disease but when it's mixed with alcoholism it's ten times as corrosive.
It sounds like to me since she had a little cash and booze and telling her boyfriend she'd call him later+ I think she was having an affair maybe meeting a married person and I think somebody picked her up after that accident and like you mentioned a crime of convenience or opportunity -it definitely is a mystery-I hope the family will someday get answers hopefully sooner than later
Why does everyone automatically jump to Faking Their Own Death and suicide. Most likely she had no cell phone reception and started to walk - evidenced by the dogs. She didn't run from police because she hadn't called them so didn't know they were coming. While she was walking down the road, a car stopped and she got in. I think it's that simple. He probably looked nice - an old guy or a clean cut guy. She got in because he looked safe and said the right things to her. With the rag, after you were in an accident, would you walk around and put a rag in the back of the car? I don't think so. I wonder if the rag had any DNA on it. I think she met the wrong person.
What are your theories on what you think happened to Maura Murray?
I truly feel for her parents. This is one of my biggest fears as a mom of 3 girls. I would def die looking .

Good one but man that camera has him bouncing all over the place every few seconds. Hard to pay attention to what he’s saying. Jmo
Just saying: college student often have family “deaths.” According to my youngest son I had a severe stroke about 18 months ago. I passed away a few weeks later. 😂 He needed an extension on a couple of projects. Lol
My condolences. RIP. 💗💗💗

Great video but what's going on with the camera zooming?
Wonder if she was on any kind medication that mixed with alcohol causes thoughts of suicide. I had 1 glass of wine the next day I was inconsolable. It was “depression hurts everywhere” Meds. Happened again years later after my OBGYN gave me the “quit smoking” meds.
The only meds that popped up in the reasarch was her birth control. Perhaps someone else has insight regarding any other meds?
Don’t think so. But I would say she was a daily/binge drinker.
I had same experience especially with those smoking meds!!
I’ve ALWAYS thought the “rag in tailpipe” was her way of telling her father LE was involved! Her dad told her to do that for police reasons so her dad would make the connection..
really enjoy the channel but I agree with Tricia P comment, those quick zooms were way too distracting. Would be nice to slow them down a bit. Thanks for all your hard work on these recaps!
If she was going to disappear or if it was an unaliving situation I don't think she'd take her birth control pills with her.
Wish I could subscribe more than once 👏👍
I've listened to a podcast that's dedicated to this case, and I've watched a couple of my favorite true crime UA-camrs' videos on this. There are a lot of details not discussed in this video, which makes total sense since this is a recap. It's a fascinating case.
Edit: Hmm... I heard that her dad told her to use a rag because she was having car trouble. That never made sense.
That video that the weirdo guy uploaded on one of the anniversaries of her disappearance is one the most unsettling things I've seen. Very sinister presence and all he does is laugh and then stop abruptly.
wait what video? link pls? or tell me what to type in. TIA
@@_sunchildd My comment got deleted by UA-cam, I think because of the name. I'll try to rewrite it. The number 112 is the first part of the name. Then there's "dirt" and "bag". Just put the two words in quotations together with 112 in front of it and there ya go. I'd put a link but YT is weird with that. Just search the name on here and lots of videos will come up on the guy.
@@pigtailswithbows ok ya I linked her to the video in a comment reply but maybe it's not showing up for everyone else
@@hoosierflatty6435 Yeah, your reply isn't showing. (The one with the link.) UA-cam is SO frustrating with comments! Ugh. I'm not even sure this one will show. (So technically, if you don't see this, then I'm talking to myself...)
Thanks so much! Definitely stay tuned for some Halloween stuff coming up....Including "The man who killed Halloween"!
I almost didn’t click on this video as I have seen several longer videos about this case. However I do like short recaps and seriously this short video is the most in depth one I have watched and I have learned a few new details. That said maybe it’s my shocking memory. 😂
Good evening. Great video but please stop moving the camera. So annoying zooming in and out...
The rag in the tailpipe thing is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard, smh..
Have a wonderful night y'all ❤️

Wow I remember this story
She's a possible Israel Keys victim and she fits his profile perfectly
So sad for Maury. I hope there are leads in the future.
I don't know if I missed it but when the dogs picked the smell for 100 yards which was did it go? Toward houses towards woods, in the woods, our of the neighborhood? That would help to know or at least give us more of an idea.
Just on the road in the direction she had been travelling.
The scent was lost In front of bus drivers driveway.
Hmmm.....drugs and alcohol
This case is one that will keep you up at night...
I'm from Massachusetts, and West Point ain't no joke. Same with Mass Maritime Academy, they breed the best of the best when it comes to soldiers.
For the investigation to try finding beautiful Maura and there not being any footprints in the snow, makes my mind question every~which~way... unknown.
How many witnesses are there known, to the "lack" of footprints... How much photographic evidence, is there in this case? Are the photos in evidence?
Our love to Maura's true loved ones, and finding the answers to what they long to hear🙏💝🙏
Our Love to you, Amy & Chris💌
Maura is underwater.
This one has always had me wondering WTAF
I didn't know the cops refused to release the files to the father. That's messed up. If you're gonna hold back little nuggets of info for "investigative purposes" then you need to be out there actively searching every damn day until she's found.
I'm thinking of the Delphi murders with barely any info released
Bizarre story.
I'm watching as I'm typing and

What Chris said
