Interesting… I remember our ole man saying that wheel spin… getting “up in the air”…. Was always thought of as extremely poor form/ driving/ driver control… Now days seems all the rage..
When I worked steam on the N Z R we never had steam pouring out of the funnel , that is caused by having too much water in the boiler , this carries water over to the cylinders destroying the lubrication so , keep th water level down below the center of the gauge glass

There is absolutely no priming or too much water in this video whatsoever. It’s called cold conditions, which it was very that morning
