MK11. I honed most of my combos on that game 🎮. I'm glad I'm watching this now and not 6 years ago because I totally missed this tournament. Fortunately, I get to see Sonic Fox 🦊

MKX was fun to watch because it was faster . MK11 is about tactics so it is less fun to watch . It depends on your taste to like which gameplay .

mkx is so much cooler to watch then mk11... I mean mk11 brought some fresh air to the game and did bring some new cool mechanics and graphics but gameplaywise mkx is soooo superior...

EU fails to match up with top NA players. But I love watching Madzin play.
Madzin is the reason I play Blood God. It's so underrated, I've not quite got the combos but the damage reduction totem is just ridiculous. Playing against a Kung Lao or Shinnok is made so much simpler when they can't just chip you to death with block strings all game.

Hellfire scorpion is just better than ninjutsu. I don't agree with anyone choosing that variation, ninjutsu, at this level of tournament
Hellfire got worse when they nerfed the vortex. It's not very consistent anymore. That said, I still prefer to watch Hellfire. It has more entertainment value than Ninjutsu.
+Justin Smith I'm not exactly an expert on MKX, but it does seem like Scorpion, in general, is a bitch character. I can't say I have _ever_ seen a character get so fucking ruthlessly punished, or look as unsafe and low-damage-potential as Scorpion. Regardless of who plays him. The only Scorpion I've seen threaten anyone is Hellfire, at least this season.
Darran Kern He's one of those characters that is easy to learn what he does which is both a positive and a negative. At a low level, it's easy to do well with him consistently since he's so simple. At a high level, everyone can read him like it's nothing, and he doesn't have fast mixups. He's very mediocre, and personally I think his vortex should be put back the way it was. It's no stronger than Shinnoks or Smokes, just easier.

It feels weird to say that. MKX is the most balanced fighting game I have ever seen. Some characters are stronger than others, but I've seen people take low tier characters and dominate with them. Biohazard took Ferra/Torr, (literally rated the worst character in the game,) and fucking dominated with it for a couple majors. I have never seen Scorpion do well. At least not since like four patches ago
Darran Kern Yeah, I've seen him in maybe 1 or 2 top 8s since I started watching MKX tourneys. He just doesn't hold his own against other characters who have the same things he has, but better and harder to read. It really does disappoint me as Scorpion was the first character I learned to play when MKX released (Yeah, I used the vortex) and some of his combos are pretty flashy. Using mobility in a combo always makes it look so much cooler, so Scorpions teleport makes even 12% combos look badass.

He and Foxy Grampa were people I absolutely DISPISED in season 1. Foxy with his constant overuse of Kung Lao who is so boring to watch and had too many tools and Sonic with Erron Black who was nerfed immediately for a reason. Now that they've both strayed from those characters Sonic is my favorite and Foxy is slowly starting to grow on me.

I like SonicFox but his playstyle in the final was so annoying. It only proved that he would never beat Foxy with Erron Black, Cassie Cage or Kitana. Foxy impressed me more. He really tried to destroy that Sonic's spamming.
Despite that, I enjoyed this final because I'm a huge fan of both Mileena & Alien. I wish somebody used Konjurer Alien - it's much better & more interesting than Acidic + Tarkatan
and foxy's playstyle isnt? foxy is hella good but you cant deny his playstyle is very binary...hes all about the neutral, opts for the basic but effective mileena- for example watching saltface play her is much more entertaining.
Like No Other Yes, Foxy only used the most safe Mileena moves and I understand him. Even Foxy's Mileena is more interesting than Sonic's Alien

I like Storm too because i like Takeda players, but Raptor is better Takeda for sure ,and best on world because he is competitor, have online and offline exp a lot more and he is relaxed with fast mind ,fast conversions when he see opportunity ,like reacts in second ,and better comboes . So Storm didnt loose shitty .Raptor blast him .

wait im confused, madzin was in losers bracket and k&m said that he was playing for 200k, i thought only the winner of the winners bracket gets 200k? ive watched tournaments alot but i have no idea how they work lol
I know this is old...but what the hell...
The grand finals is always between the player that makes it all the way through winners bracket and the player that makes it all the way through losers bracket.
So if the player from losers beats the player from winners in the grand finals, thats called "resetting" the bracket. This because both players now have one loss.
So to win it all, the player who came through winners only needs to win one set while the player who came through losers would need to win two sets.
So basically, so long as you only have one loss, you're still alive and can win it all. It's just much more difficult.
Sakron played so stupid against madzin. Not only do u have a 2 hit armor move (assassin strike) u have a parry for when he tries to come in. Why did they play so dumb back then ?
