As a new tournament shooter I would like to suggest a video on entering/all particular aspects of going to a first registered shoot. Keep up the great work really enjoying the videos
Thanks! That’s a great idea. It’s a process that can be intimidating but doesn’t need to be. Could cover everything from NSCA registration to squad dynamics in a fairly short video. Thanks for the suggestion!
The Competition Lite vest really works well all of the time, but especially shines in the Hot and Humid South Carolina Summer. For the first time in years my shirt isn’t soaking wet when I take my vest off like it was with other vests I’ve worn in the past. Really like the 3 episodes you guys have done!
Curious, what was your take on the zipper? I might have missed something but have heard that to be a concern on other vests-how did this one stand up? Definitely has my attention though!
Hey! I have found that the BarePelt vests hold up really well over time. Not seeing any substantial fading. Wore my navy blue vest in the rain with no issues. The competition lite material is probably their most comfortable and lightest, so if I had to pick just one material I’d personally choose that. At this price point, though, no reason you couldn’t get one of each. Overall, holding up very well. Excellent product!
I love you videos but i'm not ready to believe the vest makes any difference.....the gun, glasses, ok....but otherwise it just takes skill and many many practice imo; grtz
You actually might be surprised! The big thing that a vest facilitates is a smooth, consistent gun mount. Can you still accomplish that in a shirt with a shell pouch? Yes. Will Fennell is a great example of that, but he’s also on a different skill level from most folks. The proof is in the number of shooters who wear vests for sporting clays disciplines, FITASC and Olympic skeet. All of those typically involve low mounts of some type (or at least chest mounts)
In all fairness to BAREPELT, the screen grab we used for this video was taken off of a 5K computer monitor with maxed out resolution, so that probably makes the pictures look smaller when you watch the video. In terms of actually searching the site, they definitely seem to have larger photos once you click on a vest. From personal experience, they’ll send you a proof mock-up of what you choose in terms of style, colors and logos before they send the order for production, and that gives you a nice large picture to go off of. Overall, I personally found it user-friendly, but it’s a website, so people can check it out and decide for themselves.

Thanks! We were really impressed with the competition lite vest, too. Definitely looking forward to trying it out in the summer.
@@claylabusa when I tried on the vests, I felt like I would have went up 1 size if I went with the regular competition vest.
Are you planning on a review of " Shoot the Moon" vests ! That would be interesting........
Great review.
Thanks!
I just found my next vest.
Awesome! You’re gonna love it! Decided how you’re gonna customize yours?

Hey! Great question. The zippers on BAREPELT vests are great. They’re heavy-duty and feel similar to what you would find on a nice jacket.
So six months on how are the vests performing ? Any issues with wear , moisture wicking , etc ???

What is the brand of the gun rack you have in your UTV?
SureGrip. They visit big shoots and install on people's vehicles, as well. Saw them last at Seminole Cup 2022.
What sizes are you two wearing? Thanks.
Hi Jake, Scott is wearing Extra Large (Long) and CJ is wearing Large (Long). We both found the extra length versions to be helpful
Do these barepelt vest come with recoil pad?
The Barepelt vests material is made to be non-slip and comfortable but do not have a recoil "pad" like some older traditional vests. Hope this helps!

their website sucks, pictures are tiny and you cant see what you are getting.
