He’ll be a sophomore this year. I don’t know why they called him a freshman but…. alright. He’ll be 16-17 as a sophomore, 17-18 as a junior, and 18-19 senior year. Not that weird considering many others before him did it.
@@SLFCam which makes literally no sense considering…. He’s a back to back returning finalists and champion as a FRESHMAN and SOPHMORE. He won Super 32 as a freshman as well, he was classified as a freshman then too which makes sense, since he WAS a freshman. He was in Bishop McCourts lineup last year… making him a freshman. Once school ends and you pass a grade…. You’re a sophomore… junior… then senior. You don’t just stay a freshman until school starts back up, that isn’t how that works, hence the correlation between his age lmfao
From this day forward, we shall refer to this young man as, “Melly Mills.” When I was a freshman, I don’t think I was mentally strong enough to fight all the way through a match a like. But that’s what separates from the real from the fake. Dudes like this find a way to win no matter what. And that is the mark of a champion. 🙏🏼
How many matches in this day and age do you have to wrestle to get to the finals? My Fargo career 3 years in 95-97. I went 75-4. Obviously wrestling Greco and Freestyle until Juniors. I didn’t compete senior year because I went to college.
Jimenez was to much defense. Seemed like his game plan was to just counter everything. Tough match though for both young men. Keep growing and learning and we will see good things from these two

Defence was not good enough to win forJimenez, Miller was visibly gased Jimenez needs to not try to manage the match so much and be a little more offensive. Miller needs to work on pacing himself and not waste so much energy and Manage the match better.

Great match! Jimenez’s counter wrestling is amazing. Needs to stop guys getting to his legs so easy though. But I know what won the match……millers singlet!
@@competitivewrestling4217 Sure, but not with 8 seconds left (unless he already has a passivity call and it rewards a point). His opponent had 8 seconds left. Calling passivity warning gives him an advantage over the opponent who's trying to score in those last 8 seconds.
“Freshman wins Fargo!” He’s like 17 bro 💀

@@xzjayz7925 no, miller won last year as an 8th grader. just like his brother keegan won this year.
Thank you for not putting the result in the title ! 👍
Melvin has that clutch gene. Did the same thing to win state championship this year.
These guys both look like they are in top shape.

That was a FAST challenge decision. They definitely wanted miller to win that. Jimenez is the real champ.
If you’re a high school wrestling fan, you gotta be a Melvin Miller fan, BUT, he can’t have advantages like these, it should always be fair.

Great wrestling skill from both guys!!! Ref had no business deciding that match with less than 10 seconds to go. None the less, what heart by Melvin.
That wouldnt of been 2 with 1 minute left. Tough call to make.
they have replay. no question the call was correct.

I thought they ended 7 and 7? How does he win if its a tie. I don't know wrestling rules, so can someone explain?
1. Highest scoring move first criteria in tie
2. Everything equal in above then last scorer wins.
Great match! Why is a freshman wrestling at the Junior level? Please tell it’s not cause he’s too old to be a cadet? 😮

Why would the ref blow the whistle with 4 seconds left?
Freestyle wrestling requires a stoppage for passivity/stalling. :(

He who pushes hardest will eventually score
