Blocking Trick: The blocking trick is pretty valid but it's a rule of thumb rather than a law you should follow when blocking. The reason it works centers around ping and what the enemy sees on their client (which is different from what you see). If they are walking to the right, they instantly see that they are walking to the right. However, on your own screen, you'll see them farther to the left than they actually are because of the time it takes for their internet signal to do a trip to the server and then to your own game. If you are making a push towards them, the trick to blocking is inverted (although you should practically never be blocking while pushing someone unless you're going for a final hit and block tap to save yourself). You should be thinking about ping even when you aren't planning on blocking but just generally for keeping distance and avoiding damage. Good trick. Rooftop Melee: The reason this works is different from how it works in Minecraft. It works in MC because hit registration is done through a ray which is cast from the head of a player. In B&I the hits are determined through direct collisions with the melee weapon. The trick works in two ways. The one swing animation that can swing low down (down swing) is difficult to target onto a player's head when you have high ground, making the person with low ground have a much easier time getting hits in. Another reason the trick is useful is because the top edge of the roof will sometimes obstruct the path from player to player, causing the system that cancels damage through walls to cancel the damage for the person with high ground. All good tricks, I just wanted to clarify what the reasoning behind them was. Also for the last clip, there are a couple of ways you could've escaped without relying on the obliviousness of the enemy team. 1. Brush up on the super jump, there are reliable ways to do it that don't require you to break your arm 2. Close the door to the left side entrance to the 2 story building and instantly climb that. Once you're laddering on the door, you can use a technique to bounce up and over the wall you just went around. This would entirely dupe the people chasing you and you'd create a sizeable gap between you and them. (It's hard to explain in words, and no it's not left swing climb) 3. Do the same thing as method 2, but integrate a left swing climb into it after you get on top of the wall. (I created a reliable method to climb roofs that jut out. Some may believe that left swing climbing Spanish Farmstead 2 story is impossible but it's not even hard) 4. Walk all the way into the building and do a quick dance clip through the window. (simple) 5. Once you exit the right side entrance, you can close the right side entrance and do an alignment bounce up to the little hut roof. From there you have time to make your next decision. Overall though, creative use of map features. It gets the best out of movement without knowing the more obscure pieces of tech that only a handful of people really use. Great gameplay, extremely strong melee ability. If you'd like, I would be open as a movement specialist to demonstrating the things mentioned and a whole lot more.
Blocking trick: Yeah I forgot to add in that you should get a feel for the opponents ping first, (and yours) it helps a lot more when doing so. And when pushing them, I left out another trick. (This was my first time doing a tip video so I wasn't the best) Having lower graphics makes the blocking a few frames less, making it more effective to use while pushing. Because you can block and stab before their stab is finished. Although you made some very great points which I should've considered taking into this video. Rooftop melee: Yeah, it is different from minecraft. Although, it does work similar in this case. As long as you force them onto the side of the roof you're on. You should have no problem doing this. And with the last stuff: I really could've done all this yes, but I thought it would be funnier if I just ran through the enemy team. Thanks for the good tips, you're very educated on this subject indeed.
thanks for the help, fam. never knew any of these, funny how the people with lots of subs have repeated tips, yet the ones with barely any have the best.
Imma be real, I'm bad at shooting lol. But, I do know some tricks to make shooting easier. (And considering someone else asked if I could do a pistol/gun video, I'll do one.)
fun fact: when I play as musician (almost every time) I see that if you are in a melee fight and start blasting music it tends to infuriate your opponent and makes it soo he wants to charge at you, it makes it way easier to attack them, expecialy if you are in a house.
tip on sword fighting in low health: use cover such as corpse, horse (dead or alive), barricade or any form of destroyable objects. create some distance between you and the enemy. also don't split with the team, you'll need em. don't use block it'll slow you down on attacking back trust me
Great tip! I disagree with the block part a bit, but if you don't know how to use it then it does just slow you down. And depending on the situation with your team, it can be better to go away from them, or use them as intimidation.
It would help if you could block immediately after swinging because if you are low health you are basically screwed in melee unless you have a massive range advantage because after you hit your opponent they just hit you once and they win

blocking NEVER works in an actual game...
It does, if you're good at melee
@@1_battery no it doesn’t, if the enemy is decently good at melee this would not work
@@Mark-nx5pk You may think whatever, but as a melee specialist, it does work if timed correctly.
