  • Most Suzuki Jimny 3 (JB43 / SN413) vehicles built between 2014 and 2018 have electronic stability control and traction control functions.
TC works only in 4WD-L mode and gets turned ON automatically when the transmission is shifted into that mode.
However, most users do not know how to switch it OFF when not desired.
This video shows that TC can be switched OFF in 4WD-L mode by long-pressing the ESP/TC button on the dash board, with slip-tests on the snow to prove it.
The first test in the video is with TC ON. Then TC gets switched OFF with a long button press, and 2nd test proves that. After that TC gets switched back ON with the same kind of long button press, and a 3rd test proves that it is back ON.

Thank you for publishing the video ...i precise that is not necessary long press button, but a couple of seconds are enough.
The TC should be active again if it exceeds 30 km / h.
This video is for knowledge, however I advise not to disable the TC, as in most situations, you have more traction with the active control. Personally, I have not yet found offroad passages where the car has better performance with the TC switched off.

When in 2wd and you disable the tc it turns back on automatically when you reach a certain speed. How is it possible to disable it permanently?

adnan al khorafi I am not the author of the video, just the uploader. My Jimny has no ESC/TC.

in 2WD there is now TC. Only ESC/ESP. It is a different system. TO disable permanently - remove fuse. I did almost the same for ABS - on extreme offroad jorneys I disable ABS by button that breaks circuit to ABS control module (there is 10A fuse under steering wheel).
