as an RN, I have been called "doctor" by my patients for most the second part of my life, maybe due to my extensive experience and knowledge; even more so, now that I am retired and have a home health part time job. I always thanked them for the compliment but reminded them of my real status to avoid tensions with physicians. Thanks for this useful video.
Interestingly, I am constantly referred to as the nurse and I am a PTA. I stopped correcting them a long time ago. The other day I did correct a patient, and she said "Oh, it's all the same thing" lol

How about when you have your list of patients ready to call (in the order you'd like to see them) and the first patient you call doesn't answer the phone! So then how can you proceed to call patient #2 and so on, when patient #1 isn't confirmed! This wrecks your evening for sure (yes, evening).
