I've been using the 583 Pro with a Red Cat 51 contolled by an ASIair mini as a grab and go set up. It works great. I have been using darks but don't really need them. Zero amp glow too. The 183 is a great camera too but does suffer badly from amp glow. The 533 is another lowish priced astro camera that I'm happy with for the price. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. That is certainly true in this hobby but doesn't necessarily mean cheaper gear gives bad results it just means that the more expensive gear usually gives better ones.
Yeah, it’s a great time to be in the hobby. It’s so much different than it was 10 years ago where you had to spend 1000s of dollars to get different results and now you literally can spend a couple hundred dollars and make leaps and bounds and sensor size and other things.
Up north by mansfield. Yeah the eclipse was amazing. Our sky has honestly been better this year compared to the last few with the smoke and all that. Very weird :)
Looks it’s going to be great. Could the sensor be bigger for that scope? Absolutely. Are you going to regret your purchase? Not a bit? Use it. Love it. Enjoy it and then if the time comes upgrade it!! My old video is proof positive of what you’re getting out of that sensor!
@@easyastroimages5818 Appeeciate it! Really was unsure if that imx 585 was gonna be adequate for the scope, this reply has just raised my mood. Thanks a lot.
@@mayurramudit You made a great choice buying Player One, but honestly, this is not the right sensor for that scope....you probably know that by now. I also have a WO Z73 and for that aperture, you are much better off with a larger sensor for wider field on DSO's. The IMX585 really comes into it's own on much larger aperture and longer focal length scopes. With 800-1000mm FL, it would make a very nice galaxy camera.
@@poruatokin I honestly disagree, i love the 585 with this scope. The crop is just perfect imo, the small pixels provided a 1.3 pixel scale which works well for me, and its QE is great! I have gotten stunning images with the rig already, the sharpness has blew me away. If you’d like i could show you if you could send me a text or something
Would I buy an IMX585 Pro....Yes. Would I buy anything from ZWO.....no absolutely not. Player On Uranus-C - better quality, better performance, better price.
Touptek's version with it's HDR (Clear) mode and 16bit of this camera, with option to turn off all the LEDs in NINA makes this camera one of the best cooled astro camera on the market. It over perform even imx571... I mentioned some this facts about this camera in a review that I have made for this camera on this link ua-cam.com/video/T8RB-Z_LsnA/v-deo.htmlsi=xCw5_krxzv1P8e--

good video! I am in your neighboring state of WV.
Thank you ! Hope you’re collecting some amazing shots this year !!
Ohio… I am in SW Ohio, near Dayton. Where are you approximately? I know we both had good skies for the eclipse.

What's the newtonian scope you are talking about?
The new aperura one.
I got the Player One Uranus-C pro with my William Optics ZS73 III Apo. How well do you think it will work?

Anyone with the normal camera, I make a cooler that is neat, effective and cheap. Usb powered and Bluetooth controlled
Nice
