Bro I'm 15 and I've played that game like 3 times already, such a masterpiece. It disappoints me that most people my age (even star wars fans) wouldn't even give it a try because of how old it is.
that's an understatement. I think one of the main reasons was just the scale of the game and it being an original star wars story that had nothing to do with the movies. it was our first look into the galaxy back when the sith were still relevant and powerful. if you haven't go check out the old republic trailers and you'll get a feel for why people were so excited.
At first I was like: "Is that fucking Bastila?" (I'm literally in love with her btw) and then I saw a cloak and I was like "You are fucking kidding me" and when I saw Revan with a beautiful turn, tears of joy came to my eyes. I fucking love this game and Revan and this era. I hope they won't ruin the original story line. It was perfect.
Considering they hired a woman who hates the original Star Wars movies and loves the trash Disney shit as a writer? A woman who used to say she didn't like KOTOR much and now suddenly says the opposite? It's gonna be trash.
I am praying that after this game comes out that they start making movies about the old republic. The war between Revan and the Mandalorians would be EPIC on the big screen
Just imagine a prequel series which shows revan's eventual fall to the dark side, when he causes so many jedi to join his cause. That would be so cool. Then the series ends when Bastilla and the masters eventually capture him setting up the beginning of the main story.

First movie, Revan goes against the order and seeks to help those being slaughtered by the Mandalorians, ending with him dawning the fallen honorable Mandalorians mask (after seeing a force vision of her compassion and honor) and begins his rebellion. Second movie, he begins to amass his army and fights the Mandalorians, wins but is deemed unlikely the Jedi to be a new Sith Lord enemy for also tapping into the dark side. And movie 3 ends with where the game began

I guess Sony and Disney is making something big in the near future if Sony's PS5 is hosting a classic Star Wars game (originally an Xbox only game), Spider-Man 2, and a freaking Wolverine solo game.
You might be on to something. Sony could've made a deal with Disney regarding Spiderman while having Disney allow a few AAA exclusive Star Wars games on PS5. Maybe Disney gets a cut of game sales while Sony increases sales of PS5. That's a win-win for both companies.

Think of any remake game with RPG turn based battle system that have come out unscathed? I’m waiting…none. Kotor will be turned into a fallen order clone. It will be nothing like the original besides picking bits & pieces of the original story. It will be mangled for sure.

No joke, when I saw the trailer I fucking cried. I've dove so deep into Star Wars lore and history, learning everything I can, and it started when I played KotOR. My favorite game in the history of games is getting a remake, and there's no way I could be happier than I am about it.
Seeing Revan was almost enough to make me cry when I saw this. These games literally matured me as a kid and I'm happy to see this after EA got cut off.

its the mask for reven. only two people weir that mask and one is a beefy Mandalorian in full plate armor who is dead, so if you know the mask you know the character. while the voice is bastila shan who is jennifer hale and if you hear her voice in a star wars game it means one of two thing bashila or the havoc both of witch are in the old republic timeline.

Even though I am part of the younger generation I played kotor, not only is it amazing the remake is long overdue. Many were shutdown and now we have this.
I had to stop 3/4 of the way through cause I felt myself literally tearing up. Why? Well, there’s so many reasons, most of which Kathleen Kennedy can answer for me. Leave it to Legends and one of my favorite Jedi/Sith to save an entire franchise.

Honestly don't care much for the game but I AM excited to see HK-47 in high definition glory. Literally my favourite character in Star Wars, despite being from a game I've never actually played nor want to play. I just accidentally stumbled upon a compilation for his voice lines and became obsessed with him.

Well, there were leaks several months ago and Jason Schreier confirmed them, so as soon as I saw Aspyr logo I knew it was KotOR Remake, but it’s nice to see an official announcement still. KotOR is my 2nd favorite Star Wars game (after KotOR 2 which is top 1), it’s been almost 15 years since I’ve played it for the first time and I’ll be so fucking glad to play a remake

It's one of the greatest games ever made. It would easily go in my list of games that everyone should play in their lifetime.

Honestly don't care much for the game but I AM excited to see HK-47 in high definition glory. Literally my favourite character in Star Wars, despite being from a game I've never actually played nor want to play. I just accidentally stumbled upon a compilation for his voice lines and became obsessed with him.
You can tell the true fans from those who react to Bastila's voice right at the start, and those who only react when the game title pops up.

When Xbox announced that The Medium and Stalker 2 were Xbox Console Exclusive at Launch the same thing happened. Playstation players wondered if they would ever get the game. They are. Medium is already out after a simultaneous Xbox and PC release, Stalker 2 is coming to Xbox and PC first, PlayStation gets it three months after.

I thought the Aspyr name and Basila's voice were enough clues but I guess most streamers were too cool to play the original. This video speaks to how big a legacy that game left.

Well, there were leaks several months ago and Jason Schreier confirmed them, so as soon as I saw Aspyr logo I knew it was KotOR Remake, but it’s nice to see an official announcement still. KotOR is my 2nd favorite Star Wars game (after KotOR 2 which is top 1), it’s been almost 15 years since I’ve played it for the first time and I’ll be so fucking glad to play a remake
