Your channel is awesome because it's not just converted MIDI's like most "8-bit metal" videos on YT. Also, I like the fact that there's no annoying instrument doing "vocal duties."
They actually are converted MIDI files, though this wouldn't tell the whole story. I get Guitar Pro tablature files (this is the reason they sound great most of the time and some songs do have the vocal instrument, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't) and then convert those to MIDI before rendering them to WAV files in GXSCC. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. :(
Miles_Metal... 8-Bit Metal, Video Game and Film Covers Okay. I have to admit that I don't know much about the process, but there are a lot of MIDI to 8-bit conversions around that completely lack punch and sound just a step away from their original forms. Your results are really good most of the time, whether it's because of the chosen midi files, your conversion methods or, as probably is the case, both.
As a huge gamer who loves retro games and metal music this is so awesome, dude thank you :D this is gold \m/ \8-bit/

Thanks. I appreciate the comment.
do you do much hands on modification of the source midis, or are the sources already good enough and well suited to just mapping to different voices?
Using guitar pro is pretty genius, because it already includes the correct slides and pitchbends programmed in unlike most midis :D
nice :D
profiAcc Thanks :)
