Specially when you left it with water inside during winter. To prevent this from happening, i make sure that i remove the hose and drain the hose reel completely because the water that remains in the hose reel line will freeze and expand then breaks the plastic parts.
Thank you for posting this. I have the same model. Once I saw where the two O rings where, I was able to remove the three screws on the side and pull the shaft straight out. I bought an O ring assortment from Lowe's for $3.58 which solved the leak problem.
Great tip about the JB Weld product. My model was a little different and there was a plug that was apparently blown out by frost pressure because there was a big open hole. The JB Weld worked well to fashion a new plug and seal up the end of the tube.
I have the same problem as you. I went to buy waterweld according to your jb brand, but it reduces the leakage, but it is not completely sealed, it is still leaking. I'm disappointed
yupp. i already looked for contractors for that one but its so expensive, i need more subscribers and viral videos. maybe then i can afford to fix the foundation or buy a new house. hahahaha
I am having the hardest time trying to find a leader hose for this thing. Can you tell me the item number or any info that could help me find one short of possibly having to buy a hose and cut it? TYIA
The leader host on the same model that I have broke just a week ago. the leader hose connecter does not have threads. I have no luck finding a replacement as well. If you happen to find that part please share here. I have ordered, Camco Water Bandit from Walmart to see if it would help connect a regular Leader Hose.
Good video. Better to fix them because no matter how much you spend on a hose reel they ALL leak eventually.

Great video. I have one exactly the same and your video showed me how to fix mine. Now I have no more water leaks. Thank you!
glad it helped you. it really brings joy when you fix something on your own.

Thank you…we picked this same hose reel at a thrift and it has the same leak.
Thank you for your video as I now know how to fix it!
Glad it helped
I love that you took the time to repair that reel. Two thumbs up from me!!
Glad you liked it! it may look like junk but it will still function. it is easier to buy, but if i will throw this, it will end up in the landfill.
Hi, Great video. I have this exact one. Your video helped me to not break any of the plastic parts on mine. Now saved from the trash. THANKS.
Helped so much! Thank you!

Thank you very much!
(BTW, you have a foundation crack behind your hose reel that needs attention)

@@TK-sj7sy I had to buy one and cut one of the ends off. Slid it on and hose clamped it.
@@mprtftr thank you. Will try that if the part that I ordered does not work
What is that part called? Mine is cracked
i dont know. if its too big crack to fix, maybe JB weld wont help
我的问题和你一样。我去买了waterweld 按照你的jb品牌,但是它减小了漏水的情况,但是没有完全封住,仍然还是漏水。我很失望
