Haha, 😂 but what is usual with Forestella? ‘Usual’with Forestella is that you can expect the unexpected! They refuse to be confined to particular genres…they are adventurous, daring and sometimes experimental. They have covered many genres so far , as you know…pop, rock, jazz, traditional Korean, folk, rockopera, popera, K-pop, reggaeton, etc…the more challenging the better. They have even learned dance moves too…they are creative people and therefore need to grow and be inspired and express themselves artistically too. Case in point, the 2nd in the trilogy after Save Our Lives with chapters 1 to 3 , is Utopia, containing chapters 4 to 6. Oh and the 2 other languages they sing here are Spanish and the last one is Zulu!
You have to watch Kool by them.

I always rave over the last third of the song. So innovative and you try performing in three languages at once! Also it is very interesting how they use the differing languages to affect the rhythm of the song. Just brilliant.

Their version of Shape of you was first performed for Phantom Singer All Stars (I'll say PSAS) in JTBC which invited all the Phantom Singer finalists groups (season 1~3) and had competitions amongst them. PSAS could be held because covid made every concert canceled. (Usually, any of 9 groups couldn't attend busy for their own concert..)
Forestella wanted the audience to feel a world trip vibe that couldn't have due to the covid situation at that time, so they sang it in 3 different languages - English, Spanish, and African Zulu.
SoopByeols (Forestella fandom name) became to be able to sing along Zulu lyrics in their concert lol.
Forestella is a genre itself. Maybe you would like to see rapping Forestella in their KOOL or Stuck in a Maze!
Forestella always make the songs their own. This was a fun performance. 🙂
