This guide is great, but there is a little bit of information that the creator got wrong. Chan was 13 years old when he joined JYPE. Not 15. He debuted when he was 20. Second, Stray Kids are indeed self produced, and 3Racha, especially Chan, have the most input in their music, probably out of any group in the industry right now, but that does not mean they do not receive any outside help. They are the primary producers, and first credited because they have the biggest hand in their work, but that’s mainly in composition, writing and production. In terms of arrangement, they do have in house producers who collaborate with Chan to finalize their tracks. And they have in house producers on majority of their songs (e.g Versachoi, who helped with Gods Menu and a bunch of other popular songs). So it’s important to give credit where it’s due. This doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re are self produced, of course. Also regarding the Stray Kids line up, Chan did indeed have a part in choosing members for the line up, but it still had to be finalized and approved by JYPE. Based on what we’ve heard so far, some of the trainees in the original line up for the group ended up not making it in the Final Cut (e.g Allen from Cravity revealed that he was in the line up for SKZ, but replaced, some speculate by Lee Know, but we don’t know for sure). So while he does have lots of creative control, people tend to overestimate just how much he controls. It’s important to be realistic when it comes to this sort of stuff, as it tends to create misconceptions about what he can and can’t do, and it puts unnecessary pressure on him because Stays tend to put him on a pedestal and go to him for things he can’t control. He’s the leader, main producer and the core of the group, but he and skz are still artists under a big agency, under contract and under management. The final decision always goes to the company. Chan is very social, the video kinda skims over it but we’re being serious when we say he knows everybody. Jungkook from BTS follows him on insta through his dogs account (since he deactivated his own lmao), they’ve gone out to eat together along with other 97 liners. He’s friends with the actor Cha Eunwoo and Jinjin from Astro, Lisa from BP (she posted a clip of him from their concert on her story, as well as a pic she took with the members, even gifted chan flowers after his concert and an expensive hoodie for his birthday), and he’s very close with the Twice members, especially Sana. I suggest watching clips of their interactions, it’s really wholesome.

I really appreciate that more people one to know about stray kids, it really makes me happy. 😃 Just a little observation, in the guide says that bangchan had gone to korean when he was 15, but in the international age, the one we use, age was only 13😊
Bit of a long one, but some notes on the members. Chan was 13 when he auditioned in Australia. He was the only one out of 800 people chosen. He went to Korea the following year as a trainee. The staff say that he used to make them cry because he was so young and on his own. He would originally have debuted with BamBam, but he ended up with GOT7 and Chan was left on his own. JYP gave him the list of available trainees, and he sat in on auditions and evaluations and chose the members to join the group. I think there may have been a few changes before they settled on the final group, but 3Racha were always going to be the core of the group. Then they had to do the 'survival show' to prove that they were ready to debut. The only songs he doesn't have involvement in are the unit songs (unless he is in the unit) and the solos that members do. Being a professional dancer before becoming a trainee, Lee Know would have picked up the JYPE routines fairly quickly, but he also only had two weeks. He joined the group within a month of joining JYPE (virtually straight from the BTS tour. He had done auditions a few years earlier, but only got a call back while on tour). Lee Know chose his own English name. He would pronounce Lee Know more like Ree Know, so Rhino was close. Most Koreans do have an English baptismal name (usually Catholics, but Lee Know is agnostic\atheist so does not have one.) I.N. chose Bob (go figure) although he does have a baptismal name (Johan) Changbin chose Lewis, although Chan wanted to call him Bartholomew. 😆 Changbin originally started as a dancer, but needed singing ap for auditions. He almost gave up on rap until the vocal coach persuaded him his tone suited rap. His acting cute, and calling himself a visual, does have a purpose. Hyunjin hates being seen as a visual, and I.N. hates having to be the cute maknae. So he draws attention away from them. He is incredibly emotionally intelligent and understands the members well. Always trying to make sure they are comfortable. Hyunjin is very gullible. He was almost recruited by a cult (idiot went off with them when they asked him to. Then I.N. almost did the same, after having heard the story) which is why he was suspicious of the JYPE recruiter. He was very sporty at school. He skied, played soccer for Seoul Jnrs and could have gone all the way with his swimming (he and Chan were top class swimmers, with I.N. and Felix being quite good as well. Han and Lee Know cannot swim at all) None of the Kids can stand still if there is music playing. Particularly Hyunjin. He always paints or draws at night before he goes to sleep, and any spare time he has. He will sometimes do Instagram Lives and paint while he is chatting. He has his travel art supplies so that he can always paint\draw. He might forget to pack his shoes (Riyadh) but will never forget his art supplies! 😁 There are a lot of behind-the-scenes clips of them working on the music that is worth watching. Han and Changbin usually produce\guide the parts that they wrote. Bang Chan creates most of the beats, writes lyrics, produces and arranges. Lately he has also got more into the sound engineering side as well. The Street versions of their songs are fun and worth watching. A couple of them were filmed in Australia (FNF was also filmed in Australia. Since it was about the bushfires, that seemed appropriate)
@@geminimollan definitely. But I think he also wants them to spread their wings a bit and try different things and work with different producers. Though he will always be there with advice if they need it. I just love that his studio is officially named as Channie's Room on the credits. 😄
Where was it discussed that Chan was given a list of available trainees and sat in on auditions and evaluations? I'd really like to watch or read that because I haven't ever seen that tidbit of info before! Interesting!
@@MakeGoodTrouble I can't remember where I saw it (it was in a couple of different places), but I do remember an ex-trainee also talking about almost being a member (but that could also just be talk to be relevant) I would also love to be able to watch the whole process. It would be logical that he would have to try different combinations to find the right fit. Which is another indicator of what a good leader he is. That he was able to select the final members so well.
Hello from America guys!! Been waiting for this from you. I lov your channel!! Huge SKZ fan here and my bias is Chang Bin but I love all 8 of them!! Thanks❤❤
Love the reaction and how much ya'll are invested in really learning about each member. Changbin did audition with a self-written rap, as he has talked about on a live before, so the rapping thing did not come so much out of left field like it tends to be spread around. I do wish this guide showed more of Changbin actually singing-singing--I suggest taking a look at his time on The Masked Singer and/or the 2 Kids Show performance of "Because" with Felix. Lee Know recently cleared things up about the whole 2 week dance training thing, on his Lee Mujin Service (highly recommend, btw). He did it in 2 weeks because he had to--he was in SKZ and they were about to finally go through the survival show and debut, so he had to get the training done in order to do it; all he had was 2 weeks. He talked about how hard he had to work and how stressful it was--losing about 10lbs and dancing practically non-stop. Every member's passion is crazy and so inspiring. Also, they are all very touchy-feely (just the culture in South Korea) and it took some getting used to (I am in the US) but eventually you just do. I barely even notice it anymore, lol.
The song they use in the beginning to introduce each members is called “FAM” and it’s the korean version! It’s basically just each member introducing each other in age order from youngest to oldest

I.N. chose Bob (go figure) although he does have a baptismal name (Johan) Changbin chose Lewis, although Chan wanted to call him Bartholomew. 😆
Changbin originally started as a dancer, but needed singing
ap for auditions.
Han and Lee Know cannot swim at all)
None of the Kids can stand still if there is music playing.
There are a lot of behind-the-scenes clips of them working on the music that is worth watching.
Chan is behind some of the units and solos as well since he often arranges them ☺️
@@geminimollan definitely.
Txt guide next plss. 😊
stray kids, a group of 3 aces (3racha) and 5 all-rounders!!
I love that your sincerity with your reactions and actually interested in the group ! really appreciate that about you guys
Hello from America guys!! Been waiting for this from you. I lov your channel!! Huge SKZ fan here and my bias is Chang Bin but I love all 8 of them!! Thanks❤❤
Thanks for your reaction guys. I hope you guys react to The Boyz also. They are also a 4th gen group.
This made my day already
Finally! Cant wait for the 2nd part.
TXT guide next pls
skz code is a variety show of theirs you should watch it after the guide ★
🌟🌟🌟
I really hope you guys check out beomie bears ultimate guide to txt series next - I think it’s one of the best K-pop guides out there 💙 The series contains all the same content from the long guide video on beomie bear’s channel, but the series splits it up into shorter, more manageable videos. I think watching 2-3 parts of the series at a time will give you space to take in all the details and leave room for the discussions/comments you guys have.
yes I agree! I think this is the best way to react to this guide.
do the txt guide by beomie bear next pretty please!!

I love all Stray Kids members and as a group they are very unique and interesting.
They talked about Changbins softer vocals, but didn't give us a view of it really and only showed his rapping. He has one of my favorite singing voices!
Hyunjin is incredible
Cant wait for the next one, thx guys!

CB97 = Christopher Bang 97, his birth year 1997 (October 3rd)
Bang Chan went into a JYP audition in Australia when he was 13, and was the only one chosen out of 800 contestants. Almost 1 yr later, hr moved to Seoul to start w his training w JYP (where he met most of his friends in the KPOP industry).

Next txt guide plsssssssssss 2023 or 2024 guide both are good. 💗💗💗💗😭
It looks like the 2023 guide isn’t on beomie bear’s channel anymore so it’ll have to be the 2024 update (which I think is even better than the 2023 one) ☺️💗 I kind of hope they watch the series as I think it’ll give them time to process all the amazing information beomie bear put in their guide (I also think the series does actually have a few additional clips that the long videos doesn’t)
really missing the Kdrama reactions, I would love to see you guys watch the full series 'Strangers From Hell'! It's kind of like a thriller drama, and I think you guys would enjoy it! Looking forward to it!
