I do like the remaster and actually appreciate that there is a version that runs smoother on new hardware (atleast on my hardware) instead of CA constantly focusing on Warhammer and trash like thrones of brittania etc. BUUUUUT, nothing beats the original Rome TW. Also, the units themselves look more dope in the original.

Rometw(2004) battlemechanics are still superior even to latest titles, best imersion, soundtrack, formations, probably the best unit sprits/colors etc. and no freaking symbols telling you what's happening..

what tf are you talking this wasnt the version to "improve" alot this was the version to make it playable well for new machines with little extras and changing not much. - if you want to play a "developed" rome play Rome 2 ... this Rome Remastered came out because the community wanted the original rome for modern hardware and iam thankful but the HUD isnt working well on my small screen

I despise the remastered UI, it's so overly complicated compared to the original, and I honestly think the original campaign map looks better. However the battle details were significantly improved in the remaster.

TW Rome remastered is basically TW Rome with motion capture. The units are less stiff and spritey looking, their movements smoother. Thats it. Not worth replaying or rebuying IMO.

remastered UI/UX sucks in almost all ways. Graphics at micro scale is good but at macro it's awful. My opinion as a game developer.
