This thing is an absolute weapon. Looks like a handful to drive. What an absolutely amazing race course the scenery is stunning. I'll bet there;s some pucker folds in the upholstery.
Great run -- I'd be playing with the hull bottom design just a little to get rid of that chine walking it does at that one speed. It shouldn't take too much to get rid of it.
This boat absolutely flies, love it. Are the ailerons controlled manually by the copilot or do you have them controlled automatically via a gyro or something?
Yes the driver adjusts the pitch with a thumb switch to tweak the nose up/down attitude of the boat to keep it planing correctly at different speeds, wind directions, and water conditions.
How does the navigator know where to direct the driver. Is he constantly looking at a gps from the preliminary run and directing the driver on which channel to run?
We pre run the river in a slower boat to familiarize ourselves with some lines and landmarks to hit, gps tracks arent allowed in our country so its all done via memory and sometimes pace notes. Usually just boat the river as we see it
@@attackmarine388 How does it look from the driver's point of view compared with the camera view? I'd hate to be making decisions based on what we see on our screens. Are the foils on the front of the boat fixed, or adjusted manually or automatically?
@@TrevorDennis100 camera view is almost better than driver/navigators view as the camera view is on the top of the rollcage and has a better angle on the water, wings on the front of the boat are manually adjustable from the steering wheel
Approximately what’s speeds are you hitting on that large open run near the middle of the video? Also, are you running a Jet engine and a Jet impeller/intake/transmission? How much HP?
Insanely beautiful!

Nice to see the valley from the river and great driving of that boat, cheers.
Spectacular scenery, incredible piloting skills, no stupid dub soundtrack, A+ Best of UA-cam material here.
@CleetusMcfarland You got next ?
Awesome! On edge of seat stuff !! 👍👍
There wasn't really a sense of speed until u wound it up, but, hell! bugger negotiating that river!! Can see how easy it can go wrong!! Well done !! 👏
These graphics.. good lord. 👍👍👍
You got some mighty big Gonads lads!
I agree with Mr. Fuller absolutely a rush to cruise at such speeds if you like that kind of thing!🙃
Wow.
That was pretty intense.
I know the Matukituki is a decently large river, but it looks small going that speed.
You live in a Very awesome place mate..
you boys know those braids the way the local bus driver knows the road to town....

Perhaps an external picture of the vessel would give the viewer a greater understanding of what exactly surrounds the cockpit.
will do a walkaround video
Wow scary track at those speeds
those canards, are they for lifting the front of the boat in those shallow areas? it's hard to tell but are they adjustable?

Let's open it up and see what it can really do MACK 2.
What's the average speed and is that boat running a Turbine ?.

How much HP?
you can see on the motec display we are cracking just over 200kph across the lake,
its a T-58 gas turbine with an american turbine jet unit
If I'm correct I think there running well over 130 mph and I would have liked to go much faster lol
So metal…
@cleetusmcfarland check this out!
