- In this video Kim show's you how to make Heather Baby Socks. The demonstration includes the entire project. The ribbed cuff is made in back loop only single crochet and the remaining sock is made in all single crochet in the round. It's a quick little project and a great introduction to making socks.

Just made my first sock from your video! (Had the written pattern handy for reference.) Your video was such a pleasure to follow. You have a soft and pleasing voice! Thank you for making everything so clear and easy to understand. I used cotton yarn for a baby due this summer. I'll be reworking the toe closure as mine is more bunched than yours even though I did it exactly as shown. I wonder if it's because I used cotton yarn. Suggestions welcome!

BEST BABY SOCK CROCHET PATTERN ON YOU TUBE!!!!! Especially for beginners. I have tried to crochet sooooo many baby socks and something somewhere in the pattern ALWAYS messes me up, except with this pattern. I am so thankful I finally found a crochet sock tutorial that made 100% sense to me and was so easy to follow. I can not express enough how happy I am that I crocheted a pair of baby socks that look good and I am not going to frog them or throw them away.

I think I will slip stitch or single crochet the ribbing together first, then start the heel. Once done you would only have to sew the toe seam.

I'm using I believe a size five hook, it's my favorite hook to use.🤗🧶 I will be a new Auntie, in just a few months from now, so I'm just going with, the hook I'm using, and hopefully the lil socks, will fit them { twin boys 💙 💙 }

That's great and congratulations! The materials details are available in the written pattern at the link and hook size is such a personal thing with different people working at different tensions. I believe I used a 5.5mm hook, but check the link to be sure. :-)

Adjusting the size through the hook size is very flexible in this pattern. Try a bigger hook to get the size you need. It won't work for adult sizes, of course, but it should work just fine for a toddler.

How can I make these larger for adults ??
There wouldn't be an easy answer for that. It would require an entirely different pattern since socks for adults would need more shaping around the arch. The basic concept would be the same until you got to the arches which would require some decreasing before the length of the foot.

This is a cute sock. But you are to close to the screen so I can see where you are, I only got as far as the side with part of the heel. Then I couldn’t see where you went next.
