I find it a bit hilarious that everyone seems to forget that Mobley started shooting significantly more in the 2nd half of the season, and was hitting them. Dude went 2 for 10 in the first 21 games. Then he went 19 for 46 in the next 27 games. *THATS 41 PERCENT.* (Feel free to double check my math and let me know if I misscounted). He then went 5 of 18 in the playoffs. 28% is a pretty big dip, but that will grow as he continues to shoot. I really don't see why people think that trajectory won't continue. Seems pretty straight forward to me
Our best chance long term is to market Garland before the trade deadline and then make a move to consolidate talent with a bigger wing and back up center at the deadline. We are loaded at guard when you consider Garland, Mitchell, CPJ, Jerome, Merrill, Okoro, Strus, LeVert, and Tyson. We need more 3.5 players, 4.5 players, and one solid 5 (beyond TT).
kenny has said he wants evan shooting 3-4 threes a game. they understand he can become a shooter. part of the reason why kenny got hired is cause of how he transformed brook lopez’s shot. the reason why he’s also talking about evan pushing in transition, running pnrs with allen, attacking from the perimeter is cause mobley is a really good ballhandler, passer and athlete for his size. he can get downhill, draw defenders, finish over them, around them or pass to open teammates. JB never used him this way, but kenny atkinson is fully focused on making him a transition threat and increasing his volume

He has a lot of bad/weird takes. He says stats that make him sound knowledgable but for some reason the way he says the things that come out of is mouth makes him sound like a fool.

@@Great2o2 Mitchell is 6'3" with a 6'10" wingspan. Far FAR more important than height, is standing reach. Mitchell's is right at league average for a shooting guard. He also happens to be arguably the strongest guard in the NBA, and one of the fastest. Take him out of this equation. Hes fine. Garland is on the small side though.
