So glad my husband chad became a member! He's thoughts/questions are as my own
I like when you do the Friday updates you should do more of that. I think that’s a really good thing to do. I like those just as much if not more than car reviews.
It is kinda sounding that the weekly update needs to transition to more short form on like insta. You COULD do a different channel for shorts, the downside is that it’s lower ad revenue. You’d have to use it as a way to push people to your main channel. Could be really useful.
If you’re seriously working on getting your money right, please don’t lease a new car. If you need reliable transportation on a budget, I always steer people towards any car with the GM 3.8 V6. You’re an enthusiast so you can get one that’s supercharged if you want (Bonneville SSEI, Riviera, Regal GS, Park Avenue Ultra, Grand Prix GTP, etc). Still not hard to find a clean example with under 100k miles for $5k-$10k. And that’s 5 to 10 grand you’ll get back when you sell it someday. Leasing wouldn’t exist if they weren’t making money; don’t fall for it.
P.S. - I’d totally watch a junkyard video. Looking forward to it :)
Forgot to mention Mach one to Gt350 prospect buyer. Same manual, more torque, bullet proof coyote. And less price.
Great stream. Just listened to this today. Missed an extra long one
I definitely do find myself watching reviews on the tv if that helps
Here’s my suggestion I would say keep doing what your doing and I think us as viewers need to do a better job about sharing him on our social media platforms so Matt can get his viewer ship up. I know I’ve shared him a couple times.
*1:34:15** I don't think your videos need any updating when it comes to editing, presentation, format, etc.. I'm subscribed to a ton of major car channels and even many small ones. I just think that you're not getting enough exposure. That's just a guess because I can't come up with anything logically that you're doing wrong. Maybe every now and then post your videos on different social media pages or maybe pay to boost them elsewhere like Facebook or other places. I'm just shooting in the dark here, but your videos are great. If it's any consolation, I've always seen you as one of the major car reviewing channels on UA-cam. I think you're just in a rough spot, but this too shall pass. Matt Maran, you will not fail!* 💪😤
This was an excellent live steam with lots of interesting topics! Thanks so much!
You can always do a segment called "pros and cons" quick short descriptions.
Vehicle owners would still be liable even if it is self driving. That's the way it works today, even if someone else other than the owner is driving.
Matt. I was thinking about this as well. The “review channels” that do really well (think Doug DeMuro or Throttle House) usually have something about what they do that set them apart. Doug is a weird dude and he focuses on the “quirks and features” the TH guys have really good chemistry and so people watch their videos for that, not necessarily the car. By no means am I saying that you are boring, but I believe you need something that sets you apart from just a regular car review. It could be something stupid even haha, but that’s what I’ve noticed. When you were growing and were Subaruwrxfan, that passion was palpable and your love for those cars kinda defined you. I’d love to see that passion come back, even if it’s just you having a great time doing something different
You're a beast dude
Hey Matt, is the Dodge Hornet worth the money now since dealers can't get them off the lot? Seen one go for $26K and the last time I've seen them on sale (except that one) they were going for 30-40K maybe more
Do a lot of reels those get a lot of views
I feel like the car stuff has become very saturated in UA-cam. The formula of just doing reviews doesn`t really work like it once did. I personally prefer more vlog type content and ownership experience instead of just review cars that you don`t even own.
