He was a 15th century Italian Miracle Worker, and hundreds of years after his death, in a number of different countries around the world - there are Francis of Paola statues, monuments, and celebrations to honour him.
But why is Francis of Paola remembered with such love and respect?
He was renowned for his magical powers over the natural world, including the ability to command fire, move massive boulders, and converse with animals. He was said to have performed miraculous healings, even curing entire villages of the plague. He is also credited with restoring vision to the blind and raising the dead on several occasions. Although many people associate the name St. Francis with Francis of Assisi, some argue that Francis of Paola's life was even more miraculous, and even more sensational! Despite this, there is relatively little information available about him in the English language. In this video, we will share Francis Of Paola's life story, his miracles, and his inspiration.

It was very interesting to learn the history of Francis of Paola.
I absolutely adore animals! I am a qualified veterinary nurse. I was always bringing stray kittens, injured birds, and unwanted puppies home as a young girl! Any creature that needed my help, to be honest! My poor parents!!
Luckily, my father was very good friends with a veterinary surgeon, and so we were able to take whatever little animal I'd brought home for a health check-up. Because he could see that I just wanted to help these little sweeties, he would never charge for any medication, if needed!
We would re-home the animals, making sure that they went to loving homes of people we or Rob (the vet) knew!
I would end up working for Rob at his practice in the evenings after school, and then later, I would qualify as a veterinary nurse and work there full time.
You seem to have a special connection and rapport with all the sweet creatures in your videos. It is a wonderful thing to watch!

@StRaphael-we9qn I grew up in a Christian family. However, I never believed. Evolution is fact. Religion is not. I don't need to "Learn about salvation before it's too late".
I have suffered tremendously in my life, battled serious addiction for 17 years. God didn't get me clean, I did.
God didn't sit up with me when I was withdrawing and vomiting. God didn't sit with me when i was fitting from my withdrawals, the nurses at the hospital did. My strength to fight my addiction came from me, and me alone. Fact!
I have never seen proof that any god exists! However, evolution, science, medicine........now that proof I have seen!
Thank you for thinking I need to be saved before I burn in the eternal flames of hell, but I'm good! I am abstinent of drink and drugs, and I live a wonderful life. No saving needed here! I saved myself.

I've never heard of st Francis of Paola but I will most definitely try to find out more about him and share it with others. My sister passed away a few days ago and she was very devoted to St Francis of Assisi. I know she would have loved to know about St Francis of Paola. God bless you.

Chickadees are naturally very bold and curious. I believe that if most people just consistently go to an area where chickadees are, and bring black oil sunflower seeds for them, they will eventually get to know you and trust you. Nuthatches - if they're in the same area, will usually follow and copy the chickadees.

Wow, thanks for this video. I'm finishing up my reading of "Mysteries, Marvels, Miracles in the Lives of the Saints" by Joan Carroll Cruz. It covers (literally) thousands of miracles including some by Francis of Paola. In searching for more info, I found this video. While watching I noticed the animals attraction to you. Even a catfish!? That has to be as a result of the Holy Spirit that you carry, and your loving nature. Thanks for sharing this. :-) God bless you. What kills me is that people love to believe fantasy fables which may or may not be true but refuse to believe the true facts in front of them in current time
Agreed. Awareness of discernment is crucial. Although the miracles were testified to by eyewitnesses during 1519 canonization hearings in Rome, certainty of details is elusive. It's up to individuals to use their discretion in what to believe. Regardless of belief in the legends, Francis of Paola remains an inspiring figure worldwide, his story spreading messages of humility, faith, and compassion.

Do you honestly believe all of these old stories? I do believe miracles can happen, but to say a lamb who was butchered popped out of a roaring furnace alive and happy bleating. LOL
I encourage everyone to decide for themselves what they believe. We can't know for sure what happened, or if things happened exactly as we're told. However, we can know for sure that his stories and his life message continues to inspire people to be more loving.
