I loved the updated look of "The Thing" for Wednesday. The scars actually give the character, some character. And the hand motions were pretty well done too.
There's a theory that gomez can reanimate the dead which explains thing and his look and what makes him a outcast for him to be a alumni of Nevermore academy.
I really love seeing the behind the scenes so very much! The behind the scenes of the Wednesday series is absolutely incredible! I've been watching the Wednesday series every day and I just love it! Thank you so incredibly much for sharing the special effects! This is super awesome! 🤗💞
I’m happy most of it was practical, I just thought the monster and werewolf cgi were a little too goofy and didn’t quite match the darker tone of the rest of the show
It's weird that Enid's wolf appearance was good----it was about as well done as Lupin's transformation in Harry Potter (pretty funny that they went the same interpretation of "werewolf" as in Harry Potter too, but I digress). But the Hyde looked cartoonish, especially by comparison to the werewolf visual.
People sometimes don't realise how much "work" goes into making films behind the scenes, big kudos to all those hard workers that create the amazing video magic and make it so awesome! Thank you all!!!!!
@@rgerber it does, along with other creatures. it is like one of those pixar animated monsters but in terms of the design, it strikes me immediately as a tim burton thing
Wednesday is a lot of macabre fun; Jenna Ortega gives a typically terrific performance in the iconic title role and Tim Burton’s direction brings the show to life. But the series is held back by a crucial misstep as the monster would be much more effective if it was created with a spooky practical effect instead of lifeless CGI. Wednesday is a great new series with a lot going for it, but it’s let down by an ugly-looking CG monster that’s more laughable than frightening.
As a vfx artist the no face people were most likely practical. It would be very difficult to remove the faces from the characters if they’re not the main focus. They mostly did some makeup
A huge respect for the stunt performers who risked their life just for money with no fame no recognition i thought jenna herself did all or though cgi but was wrong
IDK what to say I love Wednesday ( the film ) and Enid : she is so sweet and cute. ❤ Wednesday is a bit of my style and Thing is very cool ( it would have been more funny if he went at the Raven's) Thanks
Got a couple things wrong in this vid. The tree wire pull stunt was done by Jenny (stunt double) not Jenna, for the close-ups Jenna is standing on a platform and the no faces are 100% practical prosthetics not CGI
I greatly underestimated the CGI usage. I thought the only CGI was the Hyde and some other small things. It's pretty cool to understand and see the dedication of all the creators and makes me wonder how long a second season would really take!
My dad been to the lake and he loves because he loves a fish and I wish you I'm very curious or Wednesday please can you continue more and make me of Wednesday please he is my favourite character
I love number 5 because I am from Romania and it's my favourite country and I was born there and it's my favourite one is that Castle the house until Castle even that has Dracula's castle just giving you an idea please don't be very upset the I love it that has Dracula and the house another Castle and the house lots of things did Wednesday go to Romania I really want you to answer that question please can you read this because I'm really interested of Wednesday
The faceless people were actually not CGI. Someone (I think Jenna) said they did that in make-up and Tim Burton loved it so he put them in clear sight. Edit: They had breathing holes under their chin
Hindi Frelancer: Hi! Who are you Tim Burton: Im Tim Burton were filming a show on Netflix! We need a monster! 5o be scary and creepy Hindi Frelancer: Budged Tim Burton: Pack of chips and Coca Cola Hindi Frelancer: I wil do it...
Me wondering how can he do that I thought he had super powers remember that part when the hand writes on his hand call me I was like how did he lift his hand like that😂😂😂😂
"They practiced it on her stunt-double first to make sure it was safe". I know it's their job but that sounds so wrong, as if their life/safety was worth less than the actress' o.0
I love seeing the behind the scenes it just makes you appreciate the show that much more ❤️

Thanks for sharing the special effects, I love how Thing was created practically, major kudos to Victor Dorobantu for lending a hand! 😉
i enjoyed when he does this 🖕
you can't be telling me that hyde doesnt look like that one boss from plants vs zombies

It kinda does
Edit.

yeah i agree. it’s nice to know how all these things are done
Special effects were really good especially the thing
Amazing video 👌

Omg it’s so nice 👍 ❤
thing is the best vfx for me
I m so happy because I m from Romania 😆
Super excited for season 2
The big eyes on Hyde really has that signature Tim Burton design style, which reminds me so much of Corpse Bride
i thought the Hyde and Werewolf battle looked slightly dissapointing. It just has that typical cgi look

would have been more expensive probably
I think the monster was totally fine.
It's fine. A little little contrast allowed by the other great analog effects.
Thank You Guys!
By the way,I am Jenna ortega role as Wednesday
The monster was fine.
Thing ❤❤😊😊
정말 수고많으셨습니다 시즌2도볼수있었으면하내요

What about a skin colored panty, glued more tight to the face with weak glue like post-it so you keep a bit of the features
The Thing was the greatest in the show
❤
Wednesday is awesome
I am learning a lot here
My favourite is of course Thing 🤩😍❤️⭐
love the dance..
If crackstone has powers, surely he would be an outcast too😂!?¿
i knew thing was acted and not fully CGI but he still looks terrifying with no effects
A huge respect for the stunt performers who risked their life just for money with no fame no recognition i thought jenna herself did all or though cgi but was wrong
I love watching Wednesdays
When I first saw the Hyde. It was just classic Tim Burton creation, loved it jaja
IDK what to say I love Wednesday ( the film ) and Enid : she is so sweet and cute. ❤ Wednesday is a bit of my style and Thing is very cool ( it would have been more funny if he went at the Raven's) Thanks
this cute
I love the hand he is so talented like me I can do that too
Got a couple things wrong in this vid. The tree wire pull stunt was done by Jenny (stunt double) not Jenna, for the close-ups Jenna is standing on a platform and the no faces are 100% practical prosthetics not CGI
Correct.
My favourite was the thing
COOL
My favourite bit was the killing the like how do they get it looks so real
If Crack stone has magic isn't he technically an outcast himself I mean he is definitely not a normie.
Damn good insight! 👏🏻
Now I wanna watch Wednesday again 😅
I love ❤ thing
"Pull out their stingers, and they drop dead" 😂
Fun fact: unlike worker bees, the Queen bee does not drop dead after stinging
the hyde monster CGI reminds me of the zombies of plant vs zombie
Bruh, Tim Burton kind of looks like the Hyde…

"you got in for Wednesday"
"That's great! What am I?"
"A hand!"
"Wha- ok what is it's name?"
"Thing."
"..."
“ I’m an actor”
“What did you play most recently”
“... a hand”
Nice
The fact that they said this show was a lack of cgi this video and behind the scenes proves otherwise.
the show's plot felt a bit like from the 4th installment of Harry Potter
OMG 😮😮😮😮😮
she just keeps a straight face when a blue man is following her 💀
coool
the hyde looked funny asf ngl.
Wednesday is a happy teenager but she can handle being frowned

absolutely, Romania is the place where was wednesday filmed. maybe you need to watch some jenna ortega interview on yt😇
The first time I watched it and put the jet two holidays advert as the video
The faceless people were actually not CGI. Someone (I think Jenna) said they did that in make-up and Tim Burton loved it so he put them in clear sight.
Edit: They had breathing holes under their chin
Yea it would be too difficult to do it in cgi for background characters
Oh, castle in Romania, that make sence
That's because Nevermore is so scary
They recorded it in Romania or where ?
There's a spoiler if you haven't made it through the whole series yet (who the hyde is at 1:50)

Hope they enjoyed the time in our country, too bad season 2 won't be filmed here anymore as far as I know.
Aren't we going to say anything about Enid the Werewolf? Both frightening and cute.
The Hyde looks like a zombie form plants vs zombies
Sorry to say but the hyde is halarious
The hide looked more like timber
CGI??? I swear that was real!
very off topic but I think thing giving someone the bird is the funniest shit I've ever seen

Is it just me, or does the town center of Jericho in Wednesday closely resemble the town center of Westview in WandaVision?
movie cool
Is Tim burnton the dude who makes burton snowboards
Jenna said this in an interview: "I actually kidnapped Thing. He was still in his blue suit and everything."
Me wondering how can he do that I thought he had super powers remember that part when the hand writes on his hand call me I was like how did he lift his hand like that😂😂😂😂
Wait the no faces were cgi wasn’t a picture of one posted on a casts ig
Did Jenna do the ariel in the fencing scene by herself?
I’m pretty sure
I love thing
I first thought who was driving car was Tyler or Christina Ricci
I thought it was uncle fester behind the wheel
Did Wednesday really bleed or was it make up from the fight scene with the swords?🤔
