I am a fortunate man in that I probably could afford one of these machines however it is not built its country of origin such an iconic machine should still be built in or around the East Midlands where the original Machines were manufactured , The current machines are made around the Toulouse area of France which has a similar skilled workforce as let's say Derby which has a huge aerospace infrastructure, The owner has scored a huge goal in that respect.
I think it's a great compliment to early British engineering and style that the French are paying us- not least by the late Patrick Godet who kept the Vincent brand alive with his love for the bike!
As a proud Englishman, my disappointment that Brough's revival is French, is proportional to how beautiful and well made the bikes appear to be. They're stunning. I love them. I'm very disappointed.
Not much of british motoring history is british anymore. Royal Enfield is Indian, just as BSA, Jaguar and Land Rover - Triumph is british owned but manufactured in Thailand.
Many prestigious British brands aren't built or owned by Brits, Jaguar/Land Rover - Malaysian (Tata) Bentley - German (VW) Rolls Royce cars - German (BMW) MG - China British brands owned outside Britain is nothing new, just be happy that brands like Brough Superior aren't dead.
I would like to work there , utilise my skills on such interesting projects , to build Machines without having to deal with corporate cost cutting and intolerant people : )
Had a good look at one at the Birmingham motorcyle show in 2017. Very impressive design and artistry. Be interesting to see what they are actually like to ride. Sort of the ultimate personal designer bike.
Hmmm...undoubtedly good engineering but it's not a looker. The proportions are all wrong to my eyes. The tanks don't look right - it's all too steam punk and not reflective of the modern engineering in it. Maybe that's what buyers want out of them I don't know but at £50k in the UK I don't think it's aesthetically pleasing enough for me at that money.
Ingeniería en estado puro. Es una máquina bellísima, ya sólo falta que además corra mucho. Magnífica obra de arte mecánica para ser expuesta en un lugar preferente del salón o enmedio del garaje.

The wind plays havoc with the flags in that part of the world! The angle between those cylinders is two great, ans actually looks greater that 90 degrees. They should have made it 75 or 70 perhaps. It certainly doesn't look beautiful, it looks awkward.
This ain’t a Brough Superior. It's brand stealing. Buying a name and giving it to something unworthy is criminal. Still shame it isn't a good looking bike.
Seriously...seems like scratches on everything everywhere and the welds didn't look all that impressive, that is not a sign/mark of quality. Seems to me their just trying to cash in on the name, and the Cafe racer fad. What they Should have done is tap Broughs distinguished heritage, and gone for a lil more of a tech-ed up retro touring angle since that's what the original was (touring I mean) just sayin. Straight up ugly, personally I wouldn't spend anyone's money on it!
It’s a legendary bike should be completed by legend Engineer’s hope it’s given a safe hand.Allen cat card is a legend bike journalist I used to read him in later 90s well come brough superiour
100k is actually relatively good value for all the bespoke engineering, attention to detail, and hand finishing... the history and pedigree of the Brough Superior name is just icing.
By name only, looks like a 90 degree V twin! Brough Superior was British this is French Brought superior badge engineering.Nice machine Bull shite marketing for people who can afford to waste money on a non accurate homage.Good luck with that, sell a few to get their production costs back only!

Looks like Brough is aspiring to be the Pagani of bikes.
Always nice to see bikes like this being made. Also good know that you can buy a bike with 10x the capability for 1/10th the price.
'The Bike Show' is back in style !!!!
Poor sound quality of the presenters speech. What price ? 6:29
Simply beautiful!!!

And is nothing sacred? But I second your statement.

They are all honorary Englishmen for these masterpieces .

The Red Lense. Sorry mate, Brough Superior died in 1946. This is name-stealing. Les
I wish I could afford a Brough
I love this bike
I would rather own a 1964 Triumph Bonneville 650 and ride the hell out of it than have a showpiece to stroke a rich mans ego.

I would prefer an Egli Vincent.

or a Healey square four.

Nigel Tabb Goods points made here, I agree with you it’s a lot of money.
Great report, Matt. Thoroughly enjoyed the show, which compares well with any of the bike vids in UA-cam land. And yes, bolts can be beautiful!🤗
They are obviously 'In Distress'! First thing I clocked too. Again, one of my bugbears as well.
Did you manage to set up paypal as a method of payment just yet ?
Run it...and run long. Enjoy what time you have left on the road. Go....
I much prefer the looks of the original SS100.

The borough is one of the most beautiful bike ever
High end French engineering. That's funny as hell right there, yes it is. Hand crafted...another way of saying we can't afford the robotics.
The Union Flag at the start is flying upside down, geez.
I didn't even know that was possible! :-)

The French make Alton starters for 1968-1974 Norton Commandos. Good quality.

Well spotted m8
I was about to comment but thought I would see if it had already been mentioned.
French Twats.
Oops. I’m not even gonna watch the rest of it now 😆
I need one.
That welding is OK, no more than that.
that TIG weld looks like crap!
A British bike built by the French...??? Someone help me here....
Any plans to build an adventure bike?
Sadly the Opening Shot has the Union Jack flying Upside Down ! Shocking mistake really !🤣🤣🤣

I hope they ressurect the fantastic Brough 'Golden Dream', that was only ever prototyped.
Not my cup of tea but then again I can think of a lot better things to spend my money on.
I bet Jay Leno ordered one.

€100,000 and the mirrors look the same as the ones I had on my 1971 Honda CB 125. The Royal Enfield is better value for money.
Headlamp is just a Daymaker. Machining on the wheels at 7:40 seems to be full of chatter.
