    This might be best crochet sweater I have seen on youtube, and I have watched MANY tutorials

  • @brendajcable

    I have learned the connecting method, now, for connecting the squares and rows, and now that I understand it, it's actually coming along quickly. I had difficulty understanding how to do the connecting stitch, but watched your video many times, used my written pattern from your Etsy shop, and also watched other videos on connecting squares. Although many of the videos used different ways to connect squares, somehow I came to understand the logic of your method. I might be unusual because I'm new to crochet, but anyone having problems with connecting the squares, I say, you can do it, if I can.

    Very pretty! I made five Granny sweaters with one large granny in the back and four smaller grannies in the front. This is very pretty! I also like the squares all in one color.

      ooh that sounds pretty! & thank you 💕 I was originally going to use two colors, this blush color & a cream color. but I went with just one after all. it makes it easy to wear with anything in my closet.

    I bet this would be pretty using the granny square pattern but making them into circles. I recently made a round blanket and it's very much like making granny squares. Obviously, granny squares aren't round, however, you could definitely do circles and it would look nice on people with a larger more angular frame such as myself. I think making the pattern round would better suit my body type ( I might have to wear a tank under it though). I'm definitely going to make this for myself! Thank you for sharing this with us. I love it!❤

    I made one square. I had to use a #4 yarn with a 4 mm hook cause I have severe arthritis & using lightweight yarn and a smaller hook causes pain. I can tolerate one or the other. Anyway it’s really cute. Thank you. It will be great for Winter into Spring!!

    • @AmandaLoveSantos
      @AmandaLoveSantos  3 роки тому +2

      you’re so welcome! the square is 3 inches by 3 inches before connecting, so if you can get those dimensions using other yarns/hooks it will still go along with the sizing in the video 😊

    Don’t weave in ends, just crochet right over them. It’s especially easy with one sided patterns because you can crochet the end in towards the back. Once you’re better at it, it won’t matter where you crochet it in.

    For some reason I keep getting something wrong in the pattern on the last round 3 . On the 4th corner I keep being short a round of three dc . What am I doing wrong ? Rnd 1 I make 12 dc in the magic ring . Rnd 2 I make a cluster of 3dc in the first ch2 space . But some how on rnd3 is 3dc , 3dc than 3tr chain 2 space ) I do this two times than I end up only have I 3dc space for the fourth corner

      Did u chain 2 at the end of your second round before the sl st? I did this on the first granny square I made and then realised I hadn’t ch2 at the end like I was doing with all the other clusters

  • @gilliancarswell1015
    @gilliancarswell1015 7 місяців тому +2

    This is a lovely sweater but there is a mistake. When you are joining the squares, the way you do it, the first 3 double crochet are twisted. Your explanation isn't great. When you finished each corner, do you chain 1 before continuing down the side. And 3 chains I find is to many between the granny stitches. You may need to tweek this pattern a bit.
