I Am Detailing with Jakub at the helm due to hard work and dedication to his craft has positioned himself into the top 3 detailers in the country. Some of the premier collectors in the country go to him for Concourse preparation for shows like Pebble Beach.
This is a great video showing how much work actually goes into bringing a solid survivor classic back to top condition. Lots of elbow grease and LOTS of experience. Can you give us a *ballpark* idea of what a project like this cost? (minus the sub-contract work like the bonnet re-work, etc) You guys went into so much extra effort to make this right. The owner must be over the moon happy.
Wow amazing job guys! I love the attention to detail! You guys gave the car a new life! Hey just a thought but I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like to see a clip of cleaning the windows on jobs like these where it makes a world of difference as I know every detailer has their own methods🙂
OMG, this was so fun to watch! I have a patina'd old 356 that I've always said I'd keep it just like it is but now I'm reconsidering that. Where are you guys located?
We are located in Costa Mesa, CA - Southern California. We'd be happy to help and glad you enjoyed the video! You can connect with us through the contact page on iamdetailing.com
I would love to know a rough breakdown of the dry ice/re-coating then the interior correction and exterior. Amazing work on a lovely specimen. Also, how many days from start to finish for this level of restoration? Thanks!
It was a little bit of a back and forth project We waited for some seals We waited for undercoating etc. We wait for some work (fixing the hood) Total days on it probably 6-9days
Jakub, excellent work as always. I need to bring you our g500 which has spent the last 5 years as a "ranch truck' in New Mexico. Will be in touch. Ahoj -
I'm interested in having the dry ice treatment in the engine compartment and underneath of a 1991 Park Avenue which has been garaged for thirty years of it's life. What does the process entail?
The process starts with reaching out through our contact form and discussing a time for you to bring the car to the shop or have it towed to the shop, then will take a look at the car on the lift and see what the state and condition of everything is, and then we give a more accurate quote for the time involved and agree on what services you want. We can work within a budget or we can make it perfect. We can leave it stripped or reapply protective coating, etc Then we get to work! You can reach out via iamdetailing.com
Beautiful car, beautiful detailing on the undercarriage! I'm just curious why a car with an apparently expensive restoration needs Waxoyl on the undercarriage. I know on these cars originally, no thought was given to corrosion protection- but since this car will likely see no inclement weather, and minimal exposure to moisture, why coat the satisfyingly clean underside? If the goal is to protect against surface non-structural rust, why not use a less opaque waxy protectant? I'm coming from the land of snow and road salt, where black spray-ons are used to hide the ugly truth LOL. I assume this was customer's choice.
Thanks much! Sometimes, when we don't know what the final resting place of a car will be, we recommend that we protect the car so that it's safe and sound for many years to come, no matter what it faces. We often are using a clear protective wax that works quite well, but sometimes we'll opt for a more serious coating, like the waxoyl. Funny because it's sort of a damned if you do, damned if you dont. When we apply clear wax, people complain that the car isn't properly protected and when we apply waxoyl, we contend with the no longer such satisfyingly clean. Different strokes for different folks, and different products for different owners, depending on their desires. All quite malleable!
I am a hugh Porsche fan, love the 911 and the 928 but no matter how hard I try I just can't get myself to like these 956's. They look like an inverted bathtub.Oh well everyone likes something different.
Clay bar is for removing contaminants in the paint. Many “fancy” cars don’t need that step because of how theyve been taken care of. Many times, it’s the hard water spots, etc that come from life outside in the elements that need clay bar
You guys should see how bad my paint is on my black 2006 Impreza wagon 😢 it’s one of the worst paint jobs I’ve ever seen. It’s got that last owner “knew a guy who can do it for cheaper” kind of paint..it’s even more noticeable in the AZ sun
Warum macht man sowas??? Trockeneisstrahlen und dann wieder die schwarze Pampe draufsprühen??? Wieso versiegelt man das nicht transparent? Ich finde diese Arbeit absolut unterirdisch...sorry!

That really means a lot to hear. Thank you, humbly 🙌🏽
The best detailing job I ve seen by a mile.If only all the work on cars is this good. This 356 is just outstanding.
Seen as you've removed the 50yr old protective coating do you re apply new or leave bare to elements 😮
We apply some level of protection after dry ice cleaning depending on the owner’s wishes
Hypnotic beats and sweet results...when was the last time the undercarriage was done on this car? Looking like never. Go Go Jake & Co.
Probably never lol
Best video since 67 911 and like seeing Jakub like the old days good stuff
🙌🏽🙌🏽
High spec detailing . The best Ive seen on UA-cam ! 😁
I hope thses vids brings you a lot of customers seeing how great the car looks afterward.
That’s the best part of the job

I’ll relay that request to the boys! I got you ;) thanks for watching!
always curious why you do the paint chip repair after the paint correction?
Same here. I’ve been guessing maybe the touch up paint doesn’t have time to cure properly before the paint correction would get started?
@@spatulaman2753 that would be my guess
Thanks for the empathetically caring TLC on your projects!!!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching :)
964 and 356 Are my dream cars 😊 Well Done👍
Amazing and outstanding job!!! Spectacular car!!!

Stunning car, spectacular job👏👏💪
Fake barn find :) dig it. Fantastic work always.
That's a great job and very satisfying to watch, I love the attention to detail.
It's something I would love doing.
It's a big thumbs up from me 👍
@iamdetailing what product do you use to polish the plastic light pieces!?? 🙏🏼 15:28
Im so amazed that the 20 years old paint is still in good condition
They don’t make em like they used to!

Beautiful job! What is the undercoating material that you spray on after the dry ice cleaning of the undercarriage? truly looks amazing!
It's Waxoyl, a non-hardening, self healing surface and cavity wax used for many years as corrosion protection.
Would love to know what something like this level of detail costs on this car. Beautiful job,
I owned a 1962 356C Porsche when I was 19 (1070). I wish I still owned it!!
If you clean a chrome or aluminum part, will coating it with ceramic keep it clean and stave off oxidation?
Truly outstanding. Brilliant. 😎👊🏻🔨
Thanks Joe!!

Superbe travail 👍
What do you use to polish lights ? Thanks !

I was expecting a response., but must 'assume' you're not interested in performing the work.

Transformed in to new
What a beaut
Nice! Magnifique👍👌. where is james dean? 😁❤✌
He’s the one buffing the tail lights!
Shouldn’t they replace the tires? Just for safety reasons. I’m just assuming these cars will go on sale after.
Would be nice to include cost of work!
A soundcheck would be appreciated for us car guys.
Next time use a Magic eraser on those beige seats. You will remember me and this post.
Sem palavras...meu sonho seria ter um estúdio como o seu aqui no BR
Spa day for the old girl
💅🏿💅🏿
Отличная работа. ☺️
Excelente
Would of been nice with chrome exhaust but still none the less beautiful

Ficou top demais!
Nice job , I think the owner should have done some new chrome on some parts that can’t be detailed as new
There is a lot in store for this car, so don’t write anything off the realm of possibilities ;)
This model looks like the sport version of VW Beetle.
Curious why I never see you clay bar a fancy car before buffing and polishing. I thought thats supposed to make your life easier.
