Who else came here for Rejoice with Exceeding Great Joy? Best song on the setlist by a longshot :P
Gameorama91 I just performed them for the last time because I'm graduating. This song is still one of my favorites (it's still a bitch to sing).
My Jackie is singing in this performance, and I was so blessed to be in the presence of this magnificent choir!!!
P.S. Jackie is located on the extreme right side, 4th row up on the very end. She appears almost every time the sign language interpreter is in focus. She was awesome as usual!!!
Beautiful recording! We were there the evening before and sat right next to the stage! Lea was awesome. The Maestro, Chris Confessore is my favorite. We've seen him a few times now and I LOVE to watch his expressions. The choir and orchestra, as always, blew me away! Thanks again for posting!
I came from the Philippines! -Lea...
!AAAHHH!!! I WAS THERE! LEA SALONGA IS MY IDOL! I ALMOST DIED WHEN I HEARD SHE WOULD BE THE GUEST SPEAKER! IT WOULD BE MY DREAM TO MEET HER ONE ON ONE AND TALK TO HER.
I loved singing in Candlelight. Lea Salonga was so funny and it was so much fun being in such a big choir. I just wish I didn't faint so many times.
Thanks for the upload.
I saw this in 2012 for the first time. So beautiful and moving. I'm going to WDW again during the Christmas season and will do this again.
That's something cool that i missed singing in. So glad DeLand High has done that. Not only VOL, and the participating choirs should do this. We also need a trio of opera sopranos and tenors to add high notes.
Disneyland has always had soloists outside of the choir perform certain selections. They've also always had a male soloist perform 'Silent Night' in Spanish, and then everyone sings in English. Before COVID-19 started, a child soloist would sing a beautiful rendition of 'Away in a Manger'.
Thank you so much for the upload!!! Merry Christmas!!
23:42 my favorite song

I'M SO EXCITED, I'M SINGING THIS WINTER! YES. HOW AMAZING.
Thank you posting this. I wanted to see Lea and Jodi Benson last year but unfortunately it didn't happen. Got to see Whoopie Goldberg instead which was great. Thank you again for posting this so I could see it.

i was apart of honor choir this year i miss it so much
Thanks masita for providing the Maestro's name. I didn't have a printed program to reference.
I was in the candlelight processional when uncle Phil on the fresh Prince of Belair was the narrator & it was his birthday & he came in the white tent to hear us sing & it was his birthday & everyone sang happy birthday to him. I had Chris & the other guy
Awesome! I was there one of the years that James Avery was speaker as well. 1999 I believe. I do recall him coming to the tent to hear us. He had a big smile while listening.
You're quite welcome! I don't think they hand out programs anymore unfortunately (I know they used to). I think your recording of this spectacular show is the best I've EVER seen on youtube!
I gor to sing in the show! It was amazing!!!
I miss this sooo F*CKING much!!!
why is disney world so awesomeeeee?????????
o.o I was in this!!!
Ah, the origin of Trumpet Christmas.
Being an annual passholder I entered to win premium seating for one of these shows. I chose the days when Dick Van Dyke or Molly Ringwald would be reading the Christmas story but I wasn't chosen. :-( However, my gf and I, along with another couple, went to D-land during that time and DID walk by while Molly was up there. The set up against Main Street Station with the choir etc. was amazing!
Lol Tenors are almost silent! Surprisingly, the basses are louder.. that's a first.
I misses singing at these shows
+Jamila McDaniel I'll be singing for my first time on three separate occasions. I Just finished my midnight dress rehearsal last night.
Micah Knowles that is going to be super awesome. I wish I was in the state.
I'm singing there too. :D
Am I nuts or is "angels we have heard on high/gloria" not in the show? I could've SWORN it was. I did this all through highschool. I don't liner the 1999 version.
I'M SINGING TOO! SEE YOU THERE :D
AYE ME TO HONOR CHOIR
Miss this! Nsb fl. Chorus with mrs keenan FTW
Rejoice @ 28:15
I sang in these!!! Not this one it's so much fun!!
You have no idea how much this video helped me! My stepfather and mother were a huge part of the Candlelight Processional from 1995 until '99. I took my, now Wife, to 30+ shows while we were dating. My stepfather made top of the tree in the cast choir 3 years straight and of all he did, this was the thing he was most proud of. To this day, I get chills watching and listening to this. My Mother passed in 2013 and my stepfather has fallen quite ill. After more than 35 years with WDW, he still talks about the Processional and if given the opportunity, I'm betting he would step up once again. I was only browsing the web when I came across your video. Although you'll never know the impact it has had I hope you understand you've made at least one person, extremely happy and content. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and all of yours!
I recently discovered my Stepfather has been accepted into the cast choir for this year's performances. He is beyond happy and I'm sure he will be among the most thankful in the tree. Although I'll not be able to see the performance this year, I hope to find it online. Thanks again! ...and Merry Christmas!
