Yeah Emilie is in the same situation as Kuki, Yae before dendro, Baizhu before Furina. I think in the future a Natlan Pyro DPS that relies on burning would raise her potential to the max. She is still decent now and a good pick but i have high hope for her when Natlan comes

Welp, i farmed that domain so much for Arlecchino that I ended up with multiple good pieces for her. Ill pull her just because I want all fontaine characters in my current collection. I do wish she was a catalyst user as that would’ve made more sense than a polearm. But hey, at least she’s the second ever dendro polearm.
The thing is...she doesn't strengthen burning, she just takes advantage of it. It's not like Nilou, where she strengthens the reaction itself so it's unfortunate.

So basically Emilie is like Chevy where they're not enhancing the reaction itself but use the reaction to enhance the team, if that makes sense. Unlike Chevy however she seems to not restricted to only pyro and dendro, which honestly pretty neat.
The FIRE TORNADO IS REAL !!!! 1 pyro + her (with dendro fisch stat set) and a full EM anemo (kazuha / sucrose / Venti) will burn everything in her patch with elegant ofc .
I honestly thing that dragon polearm will be great on her. If I remember, it's about 36% increased damage when enemies have a pyro aura. The EM won't be completely lost since it still translates to more burning damage. I think it's a fun off meta choice, and you could still build the burning set and the same attack/dendro damage/crit set up.
this makes me think that natlan characters are going to be burning focused. I'd honestly love for the pyro archon to be a burning buffer like nilou is for bloom
At first i thought she gonna enchance burning damage, thats why i got confuse why her sig weapon are crit rate. Turn out she got more dmg when attacking burning enemy.
You could, with 100% uptime, but you probably don't want to because Emilie would basically be doing nothing for your team but application. Her damage gets HEAVILY nerfed if you trigger any quicken-related reactions. You're probably better off with a dendro with some other utility, e.g. Yaoyao, Kirara, etc. We should be getting a free Kirara from main event in 4.8.

Burning quite strong. My go-to burning team is Alhaitam Kazuha Bennet Xialing. The problem is that Alhaitam is squishy and dies so fast when he gets burned if I messed up with the rotation. I think Emily has so much potential for being a great sub dps.
emilie x lyney team seems good because lyney can deal a ton of dmg without relying on vape, but it's tricky because Lyney wants VV + pyro members, and Emilie wants Deepwood. The best we can do it's to throw Zhongli in that team so he shred everything, but I don't have him yet I was thinking about playing them with Bennett + Lynette, and forget about Deepwood, but I don't think that emilie is going to be a big upgrade over xl in that specific team

With Bennett, ATK%, while good, isn't as "effective". The Dendro Res Shred from Deepwood will be much more effective as long as Emilie's numbers remain solid.
Ideally she’s played off-field, but there could be scenarios where you can on-field which would lower her ER reqs. She’ll still need normal investment like all the other atk scaling DPSes in this game. But whether or not you need more or less investment for her to deal a lot of damage will depend on how her numbers change during the beta (I.e Arelcchino at a base line deals more damage than Klee because Arle has higher numbers). But currently, Emilie looks promising!
Could work, haven’t seen too much double dendro being discussed so not sure about its effectiveness. Main issue I see with this team is that you’ll likely need to reapply pyro, either by autoing on Emilie with Bennett C6 or switching to Bennett to skill

I still wonder why Hoyo even comes up with skills, talents or weapon effects? There is no combat in this game that would not die in 10 seconds. And genshin players only care about the character design, the interesting but terrible told story and some weird headcanon relationships between them. They dont need skills to walk around doing minigames.
I think the issue with Burning is the same problem with Overloaded. No matter how much the devs "buff" these reactions by introducing characters whose kits revolve around them, you are always going to feel like you're begrudgingly forcing yourself to play Burning/Overloaded teams over other teams that will likely always be better. Why play Burning if you could just play literally any other superior Dendro reaction? Why play Overloaded when you could play peerless Pyro reactions like Vape or Melt? Emilie is this region's Baizhu but way more niche and with less utility. Big skip for now. Save your primos for Natlan.
For these “weaker” reactions. Hoyo has to start somewhere if they want to make them relevant, and to me this is the start for Burning. Even if other existing teams are considered “better”, the point is to make teams like Burning actually competitive/usable to the other top tier comps. For instance, there was little reason to play Overload or Geo for similar reasons you’ve stated, and you would technically be right. But with the addition of new characters like Chevreuse, Navia, and Chiori (along with other strong supports like Furina), these overload and geo teams are actually top tier now. So if Burning wants to become more relevant, niche units need to be released, and Emilie seems to be a good start.

I think Sucrose would be pretty good! I know she's a super good replacement in most teams, and even if she won't be able to group enemies like Kazuha does, she still is considered great :) (and if you don't like Sucrose, maybe try testing Lynette! I admit I haven't so I'm not sure of how well she does, I haven't been able to play in a while, but I think she'd be pretty decent :D)

If you’re referring to the mono pyro burning teams, Zhongli is great for shield and res shred. If you’re talking about in general. Sucrose is a fine alternative.

Siegwinne won't really do much though. She's tied to furina's hip big time given she makes Furina broken but does so little anywhere else

lynette is that slot is same mindset as Kazuhain that slot -> Emilie - Bennett - Lyney - Anemo. Solid for VV, but unfortunately no shield for Lyney
i think she migth work with sigewinne. sigewinne has low hydro application, buffs off field skill dmg and big heals (for comfort)

Yelan will be better since you're typically investing in Arlecchino, so vaping her damage AND buffering her with Yelan DMG% is very good

Furina is a way more general support if you don’t have her. Emilie is niche, but strong in only burning-oriented teams such as Burn melt.
I wonder if she'd work with Burn overload ? i know it's a stretch but i'll still check if it works , will be hard on non boss floors
unfortunately her passives that make her deal less damage with electro kinda rule out this possibility. otherwise, this could've been a team

If you are comparing her to cheveruse, don't. Cheveruse [c6 especially] is a god. Overload is cracked thanks to her.
