I have listened to different political views over the weekend regarding the Mpuuga issue. Now that the dust is settling what is next. If you listen to Bwanika it seems they have had enough and Mpuuga has just opened the flood gates You listen to Kakande Rwomushana NUP has lost the opportunity and conceded ground in Buganda Imaam Kasozi says this was bound to happen and refers to the LBGT issues and how they are splitting opposition Katuntu says NUP has no legal basis to recall Mpuuga and they have done the politics and that’s it LOP says they know what they are doing without providing substantive legal basis. Where do we go it appears the DP block the Jemma have pulled back and somehow NUP can’t fill the void that they have created. Will NUP be forced to back and play to these guys music where do we go from here
The french revolution, people revolted after seeing that no one was going to help them. Both the kingdom, clergy and all nobles were in the same basket benefiting while ordinary people were suffering. We need to help ourselves as Ugandans and sort this mess
Thanks for your insights, but on Hon. Nambooze's issue, it was this regime that broke her back, so it was duty bound for them to treat her. So, what were they appreciating, Hon. Mpuga for?

Mr Simon I do respect you submissions. However, you seem to ignore the fact that the opposition in Uganda operates in a very rough terrain. Its a BIG sacrifice to be in oppostion in countries like ours (life is actually easier and rewarding to be in the reigning government). It can be something simple to sit somewhere comfortably and analysis opposition political parties and the fights therein but please always remember people have lost lives, some are in prisons for years even without being charged, some have physical scars in this struggle. I think in the circumstances different political players have played their part. Dr Besigye did his best and sacrificed alot. Mr Kyagulanyi in my humble opinion has exceeded my expectations even with alot of negative propaganda meted against him. At the end of the day, everyone in his/her right must make a contribution to the life we want as a country. Besigye or Kyagulanyi can only be catalysts to open our eyes bse at the end of the day when money for a specialised hoapital like Lubowa is diverted, in times of sickness, each Ugandan faces the consequences as an individual. In any case, most politicians both in govenment and the opposition will always be accorded specialised services in terms of health, education for their children etc.
Fredrick this is a very well thought - out analysis and i agree with you to a greater extent on Dr. Besigye.Yes Mr. Kyagulanyi has exceeded our expectations in some part but truth be told few people know what you know and feel the pain you portray here, majority are traitors in there era bali kubyabwe. My problem with most opposition leaders is sacrifice. I read some books written by President Museveni and his group, like the Mustard Seed. These guys sacrificed alot for what they wanted to attain; some had to abandon their university education to venture into something uncertain as overtaking a seating government, I don't even think they were being paid or given service awards when still in the bush for example the Fred Rwigema's were only rewarded when they had taken over power . For me that's a sign of purposeful determination embedded with sacrifice. Mr Mpuuga (someone I have high respect for) in my honest view can not justify participating in a meeting that awards himself and others over 1.7 billion of tax payers money. Much as you say this money was budgeted for, I think legally and morally you can't be a party in something where you are a direct beneficiary (no person claiming to be in a struggle does that). But however my greater dilemma is the timing when this money was being shared. Mr Mpuuga had two of his colleague Mps in prison (over charges in my opinion which seem political), and also it was a time of disappearances of people in drones. Am also wondering in light of people in a similar struggle and bearing in mind that Mpuuga was seconded by his party to be LOP, why didnt he find it prudent to share news of this service award with his colleagues at NUP(atleast with his Party President) when it came up in the commission ? There is some degree of dishonesty in this whole saga which shows lack of sacrifice. You can't unseat a government when people are exposed to such huge benefits. It's self defeating and a hoodwick to the population.
