Agree, I had to turn my volume up to hear you and even then I've got subtitles on in case I miss something. Could definitely afford to put it up a bit more. :)
This was really nice, I was playing mc looking for video essays and I clicked on this because it is a unique topic but I’m glad I stayed, it was a nice appreciation for games
I specifically thought your ideas about how Sekiro's ancient map was influenced by ancient maps was super interesting - I'm into maps & mapping, so seeing you make that connection was super cool
Thank you for the lovely words, I appreciate that a lot!! Doing the research for the Sekiro section was such a great time, honestly I spent far too much time on those ancient map websites haha!
the pins are a great system!! and also in late game after you beat the collector and it gives you his map of every grub in the game which is so helpful for full completion.
I’m glad you think so too!! When editing I kept finding threads of people hating on it but I’ve always loved it! Also can’t believe I forgot about the collector’s map!! Add that to the list of what makes it such an amazing game lol.
Great video. The editing was amazing, but the script could have used some work. A more solid throughline or thesis could have helped, but for just starting, this is incedible
I appreciate the feedback! This was my first time trying this style of video/commentary, so I’ll take this advice forward, thank you! Forever learning :)
Damn, this was really well done. Keep on keeping on man!
sound is very low
I appreciate the feedback :) It sounded so loud while editing I must have had my volume super high lol

@@NotJackFidk if you changed it but sounds good to me!
@@NotJackF editor tip try to make the peak of your sound be around -3 db below zero, usually this makes the voice be at a good volume
@ I hope you can change the sound, the video seems interesting
