I disagree heavily with this video - The c8 is by far one of the best cars. It handles incredibly. It just needs a tune but thats not a big barrier to meta performance - The viper is easily top 4 right behind the nsx and c8. Its extremely planted with great rotation and has great accel due to its near infinite torque - while i personally prefer the way the m6 feels to the m8, it is simply not better than the m8. The m8 is quite literally a better version of the m6 in lap times - the 2018 gt3 r is my favorite car in the game, but statistically its upper-mid. The 2017 rsr is the meta porsche out of the 3
Ferrari #3? You're kidding right? Unless you are Lemans, the Ferrari is a speed demon, but lacks grip to be truly competitive really any other track. I tested these extensively. At least you got the Audi right, as it is OP by a large margin. There is likely a nerf coming it's way. When Tuned, the NSX and Viper are #2 and #3. The KTM GT4, BMW M8, Ford GT, And Corvette C8R are very close behind. The rest fall off the pace by 2-6 tenths a lap, including the Porsche RSR. Untuned, the KTM is one of the worst cars, because it has massive amounts of understeer. The Ferrari and Porsche RSR are annopying because they have great launches, but then become road blocks. However, the Porsche RSR is great in the heavy rain.
@@Kaylos29 it simply may suit my driving style, I recognise the M8 and Viper have good tracks, the NSX and Vette too, but I often am at the head end of the field in the RSR, it's trustworthy I find and that give you extra tenths more than a fast and rowdy car you have to be careful with.

The Essenza is absolutely broken on momentum tracks, too - one of the best cornering cars in the class. The M8 being that far down doesn't check out, either. I'm not sure what the metric for success was here, but it doesn't seem like lap time was considered very heavily.

I used to hate the Ferrari, but it’s a phenomenal car when tuned properly. Quite tricky to learn tire management, but once you do it - you’ll slay. The Porsches are all great cars. Each have their benefit and quirks. With minimal tuning they are great. The Lamborghini tho. Man this car is quite tunable, but always has a major flaw regardless of what you tune for. The 2015 Porsche is terrible. It's just slower than everything else, even with a tune. The Lamborghini has problems with launching no matter what you do, and it destroys tires, but it's utterly broken at Hakone and Maple
One thing I'm struggling with Forza Motorsport, and the reviews online is how no one talks about setups. Out-of-the box is one thing, but I see such a wild variety topping qualifying and races. I understand there's some inherent secret sauce for the folks who put the time in to fiddle with the tuning settings, but I wonder if any of the people putting these reviews out have tried diving into tunings. I say this as someone who has no earthly clue how to configure a setup and has struggled to get up to the high 4000 driver rating.
As I said multiple times in this video, there is a tuning guide on this channel, that explains every little thing and how to do it. Also, I showcased an app that tells you how to tune the car... So yeah, I don't know what you are talking about.
Watch Hokihoshi, don't use this channel for Forza Motorsport. I wouldn't trust them as they don't seem to do all so well when it comes to forza related content.

I know that is days of time difference to make a video like this. But, it is a complex question you are answering. Teir list after amateur tuning is not a big ask and far more helpful for the people here wondering. Is the Audi still top after the nerf?
I'd be curious to see if the list changes with min-max/optimized tunes (vs out of the box) Or another way to put it might be for ex. one vid named "top 5 cars default" and another called "top 5 cars tuned".... if you get my drift. It would show whether or not these characteristics of each car are still there no matter what, or, if the character of each car is more malleable. I've tried following yours and other's tuning guides to test this on my own, but I'm not good enough to tell - everything is so subjective and I don't feel like I have the experience to really know, like you do. Cheers:)
Safe to assume that all of these reviews are cars that have the Forza GT Spec configuration and are tuned. Unfortunately, the out of the box handling of Forza Motorsport cars is so terrible, that you really should do some amount of tuning to be competitive. A few tenths of a bar in tire pressure and a few tenths of camber can massively impact your lap time.
Unfortunately in this gt series they give us olds cars with bizarre handling and bizarre tunning 😢😢😮. I personally use huracan and c8 but dodge it's handling so good
Well, the first thing you need to ask yourself is are you ok with a Forza game in general. They are not for the "hardcore" sim racer. Forza is my favorite series because it strikes a good balance between hardcore and arcade racing. I want a good experience without having to have to struggle too much. I just want to have fun. Forza also allows you to make your own liveries, which is my favorite part of the game, and has a lot of tuning options. Forza games also typically launch with bugs, which this game is no exception. The game series tends to get way better with time. You can easily get your moneys worth from this if you are not expecting too much. My favorite way to play is take E class cars, and upgrade them into solid C class cars. I've already spent 200 hours doing that. In multiplayer, expect to get rammed. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. If you get upset easily by bumps, bangs, shunts, and being punted, I would consider something else. I do on average, however, experience quite a bit of clean racing. Sometimes you get unlucky and end up in a lobby with people that never played before, don't understand racing clean is better, or are just maniacs that don't care. It also works very well with a controller. I have a wheel setup with a custom frame, but these days I'm too lazy to bother. Plus I don't want to spill my beer.
If you only have XBox or if all your racing buddies only have Xbox, buy Forza Motorsport. If you're on PC and aren't planning to race primarily with XBox friends, I'd look elsewhere.
Only buy it on a firesale. It's like taking Assetto Corsa and Wreckfest and making a baby. It is arcadish physics and FFB (which feels just like a vibrating joystick) with a ton of cars and tracks. I think the tracks are the most inaccurate ever, but who cares about that? The modding is like Forza Horizon, so you can take a bad handling car and use suspension and tire upgrades to transform it. You can't do that on any hardcore sim ever. So it depends on how hardcore sim you are and how much arcade you can tolerate. Forza Horizon has much more fun to offer, like Hot Wheels and Lego DLC's. I'd say it's more or less Forza Horizon on racetracks. I don't feel the incredible pressure of clean competition in ACC. It's relaxation time on FM.
The new AMG GT3 car coming soon will be the no.1 car on this list in my opinion. I've driven it in freeplay, and it's brilliant! Excellent handling, excellent top speed and acceleration. (Here's how to drive upcoming cars and paid ones for free: ua-cam.com/video/cpChY0B-8uU/v-deo.html)
I don't think it's a good look for Forza to have 2 cars being the meta which require more money to be spent on the game to own. Having the touring car (Golf) as the best and the Audi in GT3. Yes I know the Golf has had a nerf but it would appear there's definitely some pay to win elements in Forza Motorsport.
