Bah doubt any merc still sticking in this mess for that long , the real merc already left last year . And they can pretend that they are Merc when they are in Ukraine
French foreign legion is part of the formal french military, so you wont see them there. French foreign fighters are a different thing. There seem to be plenty of those. There were reports a few months ago of upto 60 being hit in one location. Maybe they were just 60 guys who happened to be french, but it seems they were a bit more specialised than that.
It seems a few nato countries are treading a fine line in allowing serving troops to resign and immediately start serving in Ukraine as foreign fighters. It seems russia is getting sick of it.
It would be most interesting to see which bank the foreign merc's are really getting paid from.

There is dispute about that strike. The Russians say they got 60. The French say they hit an empty building and the people they claim to have killed are alive and well in Ukraine still. Not a lot of evidence for either claim.

Ive watched almost every major gore telegram video from this war since the start. There was one with dead soldiers and they had French badges two days ago
I've seen that video guy litterly had a French flag patch n French automatic granade launcher next to him 😅
There are also many soldiers with US flags dead. That doesnt mean US military is there.

It is clearly a matter of perspective how one categorizes these soldiers. NATO took steps to make them look like mercenaries, while they are de facto under NATO command. It isn't reasonable to pile on DPA!
