I have the exact model and it was completely messed up. What are some budget wheel sets? Is there such a thing as a threadless one inch fork? I only plan on riding roads greenways and mild trails with this bike once complete
@@goodwinsre-cyclingyeah it’s too easy to exceed the value of this budget bike. I think I will just replace the brake cables and the bottom bracket. It’s really wobbly
@@goodwinsre-cycling yeah me too. I can tell you it’s some time of lugged frame, 10 speed and came with a rack. I seen a badge on eBay for the bike but no bike. Going to pick it up tomorrow.
@@goodwinsre-cycling well I ended up buying it. It has 26” rims with a 1 3/8 width. Probably ideal for my wife who is under 5’3” . Overall I am pleased with the purchase and will get some new tires for it . I think I will just go with the original size.
@@goodwinsre-cycling what’s your take on Mendham bicycles? They seem like well equipped bikes for the money. $280 for a hydraulic disc brake hardtail seems too good to be true. It also says made in USA
Nice fix👍🏻
i love me some cheapo hybrid bike but i don't like when they come with plastic brake levers. very dangerous base on my experience.

For the price of a decent wheelset and what you want to do with the headset, you'd be better off investing in a new bike that was already setup.

It took some doing but I ended up using a pipe wrench to get the bottom bracket off and upgrade it to a $14 shimano.
What’s your take on the American Rider classic ? I am about to pick one up for hopefully a more budget build with drops
@@MrDonaldstepp not sure which one you are referring to. I googled American Rider Classic and the results were mostly motorcycles

On eBay there is another brand I haven’t seen before. Good looking bike for $93 it’s called the rightway.
