Heya Deo, first of all, very good video and thanks a lot for the update.
Do you have any raw guesses on what the conditions could be that a person may not be exempted from writing theory and OSCE exam if the person holds UK NMC pin.
My case is that i only be hold 8 months of nursing experience in my country and 8 months here in the UK as a nurse if i start the process to NZ right now. Do you "think" I might be exempted?

For those from Nigeria after doing the online theoretical exams are we still going to do the CAP program
The cap program is being replaced by this current process from 4th of December 💙
The difficult part is going to New Zealand and applying for visa.

New Zealand NCNZ registrations and assessment are taking very too long time now. I have called them 2 times now, they continue to tell me they have backlog of applications.
This is 4 months now l applied, and my application is still showing waiting for approval. By next month January, it will enter 5 months continue waiting😔
Last year it only takes 1 month and they will approve your application.

Yes, the IQN is currently going maintenance till the end of January 2024.

Since 2023, New Zealand nursing registration now, takes 1 year or more.
You will spend 6 months or more waiting for approval by CGFNS NZ, and another 6 months or more, waiting for NCNZ to assaign you a case manager, before you can apply for your APC.
I have been waiting for 4 months now, going to 5 months now, they have not assigned me any case manager till now.
A lot of unnecessary long protocols.
That is why Uk attract more nurses than them, because Uk registration process is very fast and effective.
You hardly experience all these long delays.

Did they give a reason why you should do CAP? From my understanding CAP being replaced by this new exams. Do you have a BSC?
Cap centers are just a few in Newzealand, it's all on their website 💙

Good the law may favour uk trained nurses, I qualify in a year’s time and the plan is to get the 1800 hours experience and then relocate to Australia. Please is it true that New Zealand registration is valid in Australia too?

I pray I do not do the OSCE anyway.. I have done the 2 online training, quiz and passed. After which they sent me the Fitness test process and has been done just awaiting response from New Zealand nursing council at this moment.

If you pay 485 NZ Dollars on the 4th of December or after the 4th of December 2023, you will write online theoretical test exam outside NZ and OSCE exam in New Zealand.
But if you apply to NCNZ before 4th of December 2023, you will not write any exam.
So it depends when you applied.
