Me too. She's a force of nature. When I first heard her album, my first reaction was an instinctual fear reaction. I loved it but I thought most "normies" would be aghast at the sexual and gay references. But I haven't seen anyone have that reaction. It's been very freeing for me to see that reaction to the music, And to listen to it and feel a connection to it.

My wife and I saw her open for Olivia Rodrigo (we have some very "all over the place" music taste) and thought she is well on her way to being a superstar! So we got tickets to see her tour in 5 days. I love a vocalist and she is all that and more. Kaleidoscope made me feel things I haven't in a long time. Every time I hear it, it makes me cry. Also, a fellow Missourian so that's cool too!

I agree! I live in a small town in Tennessee and we had one gay bar here for years that recently closed down. But there was something so magical about walking into it for the first time after I turned eighteen. In retrospect it was just a cheap little tacky bar, but the community brought it to life. It’s a feeling that’s almost otherworldly, especially for people who don’t have access to many queer safe spaces.
Chappell Roan is from a small town in Missouri and I love that the video for HOT TO GO! is taking over that city in her way. I am from the state and grew up very closeted due to it. Pink Pony Club speaks to that so well!

I have heard a couple songs because Spotify has recommended them to me. When Golden Hour came out I was definitely jamming to other albums (like Sweetener by Ariana Grande, Dirty Computer by Janelle Monáe, and Bloom by Troye Sivan). I have heard a couple songs because Spotify has recommended them to me. When Golden Hour came out I was definitely jamming to other albums (like Sweetener by Ariana Grande, Dirty Computer by Janelle Monáe, and Bloom by Troye Sivan).

Idk if anyone mentioned it but Pink Pony Club is inspired by Chappell's first trip to the The Abbey in LA. It's one of the most infamous gay clubs in LA. And the music video is so good.
I heard her talk about it in an interview! And the way she described it as being how people feel the Holy Spirit in church was so moving.
