Sadly most of us knew that a few postmasters had been wrongly prosecuted but we did not know the scale or the reasons. It was the ITV drama that focused on the problem and I do not know how such a thing could have happened because there must have been so many people who knew about it.

@@wendyturney8914 We all heard about some prosecutions, but it took ITV Mr. Bates Vs The Post Office to expose the scale ⚖️ of the problem. Since the 4 Part Series has only just been released (I binged watched all in one go) and the enormous record braking success of this documentary drama, as soon as 1,000,000+ viewers had seen it and signed the petition.demanding ⚖️ by first removing Paula Vennells CBE, is our PM has jumped in to back this up, government is now ramping up all matters concerning.
However, the public has achieved 1 STRIKE OUT because she has agreed to hand it back!
Let's not forget Paula Vennells received 3 Different Honours! - So removing her from her seat in the Cabinet Office must be the public's next target 🎯 💯 👍

She’s on 30 tablets a day for mental health probably for life. Her brain was fried by the electric shock treatment. She’s a totally different person to who she was before. Her lawyers will be saying she’s due millions and lawyers working for post office and government will be saying that’s too much.

Before horizon have you ever known a calculator to be wrong? If the post office wasn’t able to be thier own prosecutors then the police would of had to be involved and they would of said no one steals money without a trace of where it went then takes out bank loans and remortgages house to pay it back. But the post office wasn’t interested in where the money went. They wrongly trusted the new calculator. But who wouldn’t before this tv program aired ?

Ed Davey does not know what a genuine woman is, do not expect him to know the difference between right and wrong! Or, come to that, what it means to be an honest upright person who has some honor about them. All involved in persecuting those poor post office sub masters, should go to prison and have removed any money or honors they received. I shed tears for those poor people who were treated like criminals, when they were just plainly innocent and that was easy to see. I am ashamed to see how the real criminals are members of the post office management, and of the government at the time this crime took place, they are getting off scotch free!

At least Ed Davey took the time to meet some sub postmasters. No Tory minister did afterwards despite much more evidence being available to them than the perjured nonsense that the PO & Fujitsu were serving up in their prosecutions that Ed Davey had to contend with. And which Tory PM in 2019 gave Vessel her CBE?

For those who say, "If you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear ", this is a salutary lesson. It's why we will always need supra-national courts such as the the European Court of Human Rights to protect the citizens from state owned actors (the Post Office, the Police etc) who behave improperly.
Had the sub-postmasters tried to protest their innocence by holding go slow marches on the capitals streets, THEY'D have been jailed for that too.
That the government is trying to remove the UK from the ECHR should chill every right minded individual not be cheered.

Where's the decency & humanity - anyone in a position of authority should be legally bound to speak up so they do not cover up. It's horrendous- where are the values, they just cate about their brand and profits.

Here is the thing, apart from all the other aspects of this affair the role of Lord Neuberger in the Recusal seems to have escaped attention.
I have therefore pasted the following ‘The role of Lord Neuberger in the recusal fiasco (Justice Fraser) should be investigated’ on as many UA-cam articles as I could, about ten, but when I checked to see if there was any response I discovered they had all been taken down.
This Kafkaesque episode staggers one at every turn, even when Big brother has been outed he seems to be still working away!
I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed.
