Jeremy!! I've noticed something in a few of your Takt vids regarding the pattern length - you mention it in this video when you talk about increasing the pattern length for the new track you're making, which fucks things like conditional trigs. If you got into the page menu and press fn+yes to make it length per track, and then set the master length to however many steps you want the longest track to be (e.g. M.LEN 64 for a pattern where the longest track is 64 steps,) you can create new tracks and make them longer without fucking the automation on others. It helps when you like the conditional trigs you set on a shorter drum trackand dont want to have to reprogram the sequence if you want to make a longer melodic track. Loved the jam as always - thanks for keeping us all excited to tinker with our gear!!!! Yeah!!!
@isaac anthony I feel pretty confident with the Digitone and was following his flow with the Digitakt as he was writing and performing. Had an Octatrack and never gelled with it. This one just makes more sense to me.
This digitakt series are so cool man. Looking forward for part 3. Just bought dt and it’s an awesome machine itself but in this video you just show a different level of production. Thanks. More digi please
These kind of tutorials are the most interesting for me! To watch an others musicians workflow. Thank you Jeremy! Wish you and your family a nice weekend! Stay safe! Bye Fightclub
This is amazing! I've had the digitakt for over a year but I've been unable to produce anything even close to what you can produce within an hour of messing around with the machine. Pisses me off really ;)
LOVE IT. Probably one of the best tracks that i have heard from you/see you making. Everything looks always sooooo damn easy peasy when you are doing stuff. Everytime i watch you Videos my head goes "How.. wow...How...wow.." If i would have choose a Teacher/Lessons for Elektron / Teenage Engineering Equipment, you would always be my 1st Choice! Keep on Jeremy!
Absolutely gorgeous jam! I'm going to have try out the troggling method. Also going to keep taking notes on your ability to create melodic patterns. Easily my biggest achilles heel on the DT.
Hey Red Means Recording! Love what you do with the Takt. I feel you present it in a pretty true light, that is, you're gonna spend hours and hours just faffing about, then very early in the morning you hit play and goodness just pours forth!
Just fyi Jeremy, this was the video that finally made me decide on getting a digitakt, so thanks for that! Oh and my wallet wanted me to tell you it hates you, idk what that's all about but he said you'd know what you did so 🤷♂️
Man, this is so refined and delicate... Really inspirational... Would it be possible to get the corresponding .syx somehow to play around a little bit and dig further? Would be happy to pay for it... Anyway, thanks for posting and sharing
Hi and thank you for these many quality videos. I plan tu buy digitone and digitakt. But I have a question before .. Except the price what are the main interest/difference with rytm MKII Four MKII and octatrack ?
Random question Jeremy - what do you use for the backgrounds on your table? Anything to avoid? I'm considering just getting a couple colored tablecloths. Goal is both shots of performance from audience POV, and some isolated synth shots (similar proximity to many of your shots). Thanks for the advice!
I felt put off by the mono only sampling when I tried one. As someone who is way more pro level than me at music stuff, do you feel like that's a limitation that can hinder sound quality or something that is pretty easy to work around?
Not Jeremy but I have owned this for a year and a half. I don’t feel like you would buy this as a live sampler. I use it mainly as a drum machine with some sampling capabilities. If you look at it that way this device is awesome for coming up with quick sketches and creating cool variations like the ones in this vid. If you want to do more you can then send each track to your daw using overbridge. Also the limitations here add to the creativity. If you want a device that’s better for live sampling there’s so many other devices out there.
Totally! Yeah I definitely didn't get it for the purpose it was made for, I've been using an MPC Live lately and that's more what I needed but it's so rad to see what folks do with Elektron gear
I don’t see the problem in mono sampling, when sample is inside the sampler, you pitch it, chop it, add reverb, pan it bla bla, you know the dtift. Outside comes stereo sample that is different from the original mono sample.
Totally fair, it's all about workflow differences. I sample stereo out synths like the Wavestate to record long form sample recordings of full takes into the Live. That isn't really what the digi does
The seamless cuts are INSANE. The loop just keeps playing perfectly while still jumping around time. Very very well done!
More digitakt stuff please, I really enjoy it
this machine is awesome. the beatmaker too, thanks for your content.
Love this one a lot. The play-out sounds to me like Tycho, friendly sounds slowly leapfrogging each others melodies.
My prayers have been answered! I learn so much from just watching you mangle the dt! It's so inspiring! Please keep the digitakt content coming!
Jeremy!!

Nice thank u
I've learned so much from this series. Got a Digitakt on the way. My son Dave S. has really enjoyed working with you.
This is nuts. I'm glad you posted this and also hate that you posted this because now I think my Digitone needs a partner...
@isaac anthony I feel pretty confident with the Digitone and was following his flow with the Digitakt as he was writing and performing. Had an Octatrack and never gelled with it. This one just makes more sense to me.
Thanks for all the work you put in with this stuff man. You’re constantly keeping me inspired during this lockdown crap. All the best from the UK.
Every time I watch one of these I feel inspired to boot mine up a make a track. Thanks for posting 🙏🏿
Every time I watch one of these I feel intimidated to boot mine up a make a track.
I've loved both this track and the darker one recently made. Thanks for all the sweet stuff you make!
This digitakt series are so cool man. Looking forward for part 3. Just bought dt and it’s an awesome machine itself but in this video you just show a different level of production. Thanks. More digi please
Love watching you noodling on those boxes Jeremy. More pls! Cheers!

I can’t agree with you more on the type of day it has been, an f bomb day, thank you. 🤓 And sick beats quick style of you!
YESSS!! More digitakt videos.

A masterclass in so many ways. Thanks for sharing.
It’s easy to get lost in the process especially watching what you make with these videos, lovingl these man
SOOO GOOD! Such a treat at the end of a long week. That jam at the end is unstoppable
This was super fun to watch. Can’t wait to see what you do on Octatrack! Inspirational stuff!
Absolutely gorgeous jam! I'm going to have try out the troggling method. Also going to keep taking notes on your ability to create melodic patterns. Easily my biggest achilles heel on the DT.
Amazing job! I love the second beat. 💚
Love this so much, you are so good at this, I'm hooked on watching you on the Digitakt (searching for more now....)
So rad! And so chill! Love seeing ways to develop and flesh out beats and jams like this.
Hey Red Means Recording! Love what you do with the Takt. I feel you present it in a pretty true light, that is, you're gonna spend hours and hours just faffing about, then very early in the morning you hit play and goodness just pours forth!
That was beautiful!
Jimminy Cricket! You make it all look so easy!
end jam was nutsssss
Just fyi Jeremy, this was the video that finally made me decide on getting a digitakt, so thanks for that! Oh and my wallet wanted me to tell you it hates you, idk what that's all about but he said you'd know what you did so 🤷♂️
Not gonna lie Jeremy... I LOVED IT!

shibadoop babidoop boobidoot boop
It's true
Haha so good 👌cheered up my day thanks dude.
1 person has no Digitakt to do chill stuff. 😅 Really nice beats !
Awesome. Sick beats.
Great stuff
Shit you must've directly caused the sales of at least 1000 digitakts with this video
bro thank you explained retrigs easily
Well done !!
These are both very BEES
ITS 🐝
That was some nice troggling.
Awesome!!!! Could you please let me know where do you send the LFO of track 4? Please 🙏
At 5:47 you are using more than 4 samples for the project, how do i do this?
Chromatic mode like a keyboard. It’s the same sample
Awesome, wanting a Digitakt badly!
This is future me, telling my old self, thanks for buying it!!
You sound like Joe Rogan but for dope beats.. I love it!
very cool
That second beat
Man, this is so refined and delicate... Really inspirational... Would it be possible to get the corresponding .syx somehow to play around a little bit and dig further? Would be happy to pay for it... Anyway, thanks for posting and sharing
It's gone :(
You should do a digitone digitakt jam
Hi and thank you for these many quality videos.
I plan tu buy digitone and digitakt. But I have a question before .. Except the price what are the main interest/difference with rytm MKII Four MKII and octatrack ?
Trip-hop in next episode?!
Is the first beat really only using 8 tracks!? Or was there a pattern A and pattern B and I missed it?! Awesome stuff as always!
yeaahhh
Whats the best affordable Synths for cinematic ambient / FX
If you want a sequencer, digitone. Hydrasynth otherwise. Money no object: prophet x
@@RedMeansRecording Will Research, Thanks
Wish I was as talented as you 😭
Nice 1 Geezer. Is the Digitakt your fav Elektron? Is that the one you'd reach for without thinking about it?
for the bass track, was there a reason you didn't want to switch to 64 steps just for the single track instead of the whole pattern?
I don't recall
Yeah, i was thinking that maybe you forgot that you can make them per track, Jeremy?
The Digitakt do be sounding like a mechanical keyboard, huh?
Yeah!
Random question Jeremy - what do you use for the backgrounds on your table? Anything to avoid? I'm considering just getting a couple colored tablecloths. Goal is both shots of performance from audience POV, and some isolated synth shots (similar proximity to many of your shots). Thanks for the advice!
Wood. Mostly wood. In some cases I bought vinyl photo backdrops. Mostly just a table. Cloth can bunch up.
I felt put off by the mono only sampling when I tried one. As someone who is way more pro level than me at music stuff, do you feel like that's a limitation that can hinder sound quality or something that is pretty easy to work around?

The dark stuff was way better… just sayin
