She may sound ditsy or naive to people, but I've always found the lines they gave her to have a profound quality to them. It's subtle enough but when you really let that process it makes all the sense.
Obsessed with the fact that the writers of this movie tried to pose her point of view as strange, "feminine sensibility" and present her as ridiculous or silly, even though her analysis is literally the whole point of Frankenstein. You're SUPPOSED to feel sorry for the creature.
Reminds me of that article on *The Sun* that claimed “SNOWFLAKE students claim Frankenstein’s monster was ‘misunderstood’ - and was in fact a victim” like…. that was the point of the book 🤦🏻♂️
I might be looking too much into it, but it almost felt like she slipped out of character after the wind blew, and understandably so. She knew there was gonna be a breeze, she didn’t know it was gonna be so strong she was basically gonna unwillingly flash a bunch of people. There’s a hint of concern or confusion in her eyes for a second, and being that she’s a very expressive person with her characters, I wouldn’t be surprised if that moment of discomfort was genuine. It’s so messed up that they did that to her without her previous knowledge or consent to the scene, especially since her husband beat her after he found out.
Can we stop pushing the victim narrative on everything that happened in Marilyn's life? Marilyn knew about the scene beforehand. It was written in the script. And she'd rehearsed it in public where the famous photos of her were taken.
Normally I and other girls walk basically on our toes, it's not very noticeable that we are walking on our toes due to the heels already elevating the ankle but it keeps the the tip of the heel just slightly above the floor. I use that when I have to walk through grass, gravel, very cracked concrete, sod, dirt. I learned it myself from wearing heels so often but not everyone knows you can do that as it's not a spoken known fact but one you kind of learn with enough experience. some girls that don't walk in heels often tend to walk heal-toe in those conditions making them look unstable on those surfaces. walking on your toes you basically glide through them
I can't help, but to thunk of her getting beat up after this scene. 🙄🙄So sad, and people can hear her screaming and would do nothing. They just listened. So heartbreaking.
….did you watch Blonde? Lmao she never got beat up, they filmed this scene twice because when her skirt went up the crowd was screaming. Blonde is a lie. Blonde is made based from a book about lies. Seriously. Look it up. It was hot trash that was an insult to Marilyn’s memory.
She’s just so mesmerising… I can’t think of anyone else who I could stare at as long as I can at her and still be amazed by her beauty and her kind soul. She deserved so much more in her life, poor Norma Jean😔
She had a very high iq. That subway scene ignited Joe Demaggio's temper I read. He wanted Marilyn to quit acting and of course she said "no." There's more but that's it in a nutshell.
I agree and I just wrote a comment about this. However, it came back to my mind that they remained on good terms, even after their divorce. Joe kept looking after her, I'm thinking when Marilyn got locked up, he's the one who helped her escape the hospital. And he sent flowers to her grave every year until he passed. He just didn't know how to love her. She was independent ⚡ he wanted her to stay home and cook for him, etc... Marilyn was a free spirit, nobody could force her to stay home. She was a true Gemini 💖
Nunca jamais vai existir mulher mais linda que ela ,ela era perfeita tenho hj 47 anos,e tinha um poster dela nua no meu armário, sou lésbica não!!!!Mas ela era lindaaaaa
I've always loved her character in this film ; she's kind and genuine , and completely human ❤ Not the glorified gold digger they made her play in so many of her other films
A true gorgeous woman! When I remind my younger friends (as I'm now the same age she was when she passed) that all that beauty is all natural, in her time they didn't have botox, or fillers, or dental veneers, they didn't even have the powerful teeth whiteners we have today, all she really had besides makeup was the hair bleach, but that alone didn't make such difference in how good looking one wa. Anyhow, I know it sounds a bit superfluous but I love this woman, and have heard she was a beautiful person inside as well, a true national treasure! (Even though sick people of her days purposely gave her leading roles that she never really wanted because she was a great actress & they wanted to exploit her "kardashian" side of her.
She actually did have surgery on her chin an nose but I love Marilyn I always have a huge fan I have books on books on her I’ve been in love since I first saw the women !!! But there will nevvverrrrrrr be another Marilyn!!!!!

All the books I read about her. Everyone mentions her skin. They said it was like she was ethereal. That she literally glowed. I know the Hollywood makeup n soft lens but in all her films you literally can’t take your eyes off her. Never ever will be another.
She is so cute and the camera always loved her. I’m a 68 yo straight woman but I wish I could’ve met her. I wonder if she had any loyal girlfriends. I would’ve asked her if all her alluring mannerisms were learned as an actor or did they just come naturally. 🥰🎄☃️
Marilyn is like another Britney Spears except she spoke about her life in movies instead of in songs and it went right through people's heads and over their ears.

I think Marilyn was positively adorable and had in spite of her circumstances an innocence about her that merely added to her charm and ultimately her tragedy. I hated that in order to feel accepted in life due to a turbulent and unbalanced childhood, she allowed herself to be manipulated and abused by Unscrupulous men. Had she been raised in a more traditional and normal environment I wager that she would have been more secure in herself ( she was a sensitive and high IQ individual who was badly scarred) and made better choices in her life. I never liked how she was made into a superficial, objectified pound of flesh for the consumption of male dominance and lust. Marilyn was deep down something much more than that shallow dynamic. I would have preferred in a different world that she came from a normal and more stable background and stayed Norma Jean if it meant she would he happy and lived a more fulfilling and gratifying life.

Only a person with a real heart would be able to see what she describes in the movie
She was just stunningly beautiful

Just by entering the scene, stunning.
Лучезарная Мерилин! Мужчины, которые ей встречались все не стоили её ногтя!

How did she keep from.catching her heel in the grate ?

I also noticed she positioned her heel just above a steel area of the grate for the scene
I thought I was the only one wondered about dat
thats what I think every time I see this
U walk on toes over obstacles
So sad that her husband may have beaten her up over that scene. She was his property, apparently.
Yeah I just watched that in a documentary. The dress and scene she was famous for was probably the worst night of her life. So sad.
one of the few parts that wasn't fictionalized in "blonde"
Spousal abuse
Not "may have" he definitely did!
Because men have always been silly beast. Disgusting to boot also.
