Jungkook said he wanted to try many genres. Golden is such a gorgeous pop album exploring his vocals, pop genres and romantic love. Perfect and it will stand the test of time.
Best selling album golden has sold over 2.706m amazing love how hes not afraid to step out of his comfort zone 💜
Please Don't Change is to us, ARMY. That's how he introduced the title at his TSX performance. Don't forget, he's leaving for 18 months and hopes we'll all still adore him as we do now.
I loved this album. Every song was so good. Hate You is my favorite, followed closely by Standing Next to You and Too Sad to Dance. I noted that you said you hadn't heard this side of Jungkook as he was singing Hate You. Some of my favorite songs are Still With You, Stay Alive, If You, and his cover of Falling. It's amazing how many genres of music he's able to sing so well. 💜

You're not the only one who said Yes or No reminded them of Jesse McCartney. You're probably referring to his Beautiful Soul CD, I had that album too. I actually met Jesse McCartney back in 2001 before he even released Beautiful Soul. He was in a boy band called Dream Street and I went to their concert so I met him and got his autograph, good memories. I'm still a fan of his and he still performs and puts out music from time to time. He also got married not too long ago. It's too bad his popularity kind of dwindled over time because he's talented. And he remains unproblematic which is a rarity among young stars and that's probably why he's not talked about too much.
Yup, Yes or No gave me major Jesse McCartney vibes too. And I love it. Yes or No is my favourite song to sing along to. And the whole album seems to be going for a nostalgic vibe, which works with the theme of love (and makes me love it more). Golden has grown on me so much with time and appreciating all the things it's trying. I recommend watching the interview he did with Zane Lowe for Apple Music. It's the epitome of a good interview with mutual respect being shown and honestly gave me a lot of insight into how Jungkook is approaching his solo era.
Laughing about Too Sad to Dance because one of my favourite stylistic choices in songs is when you have really sad or messed up lyrics but make it really catching and uplifting in sound. Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People is another great example. So I really enjoy Too Sad to Dance and also find it very smart because it seems self aware and pointing out how ridiculous the recovering from a break up process can be sometimes while still being realistic and charming.
I get that!! I think it is this specific chord progression behind the track, along with the repeated line of “too sad to dance.” It actually has grown on me a little, but I still find it makes me smile instead of sad😂
@@LexListens Haha I do get where you're coming from with that. It seems almost childish or child-like in that way. I actually think we are supposed to smile or feel warm listening to this song. When you see the choreography for this song it'll reinforce the simple cuteness of it too.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Liked 3D. Catchy. Closer to U is great. Love the melody. It's a vibe. Makes me want to move. Like Seven a lot. Latto sounded great with JK. I had a hard time choosing a fav song from this album. Loved all the songs. It's a no skip album for me. Standing Next to you is so good. The Usher remix is great too. Loved Yes or No. Great vocals as usual. So catchy. Sweet sentiment too. Pls Don't Change is a bop. Love techno and this one had me moving on 1st listen. Don't know the DJ but loved this one. And the song has a double meaning now since he sang it to us in NY asking army not to change. UwU Hate you is great too. Did u see the visualizer for it? The feels gosh. I think army was asking for it because it's like a 4th MV and we thought we were done with those. 0.o Somebody is good. But every freaking time i hear it i do a double take and say who this? Rolls eyes. Still getting used to all his tones. Jack of all trades King JK!!! Even him doing the Fallen cover by Harry Styles it was a different lower tone. Skills! The whole album tells a clear relationship story. It's very relatable. Too Sad to Dance is good too. Love JKs humor in this. Like the songwriters and producers were all from US i think yet he picked the perfect songs to show himself to us. Brilliant. Shot Glass of Tears is good too. Like i said a no skip album. =0] The feels. So beautiful. Vocal king! Now we know why he was not sleeping, going on weverse live and drinking a lot. Poor guy was going through a breakup but could not tell us. Aww, JK. I am glad he healing though. He worked so hard in such a short time too. Dang. Golden is from jungkook's nickname "golden maknae" and it was given to him because he could do so many different things, so I think that having an album with so different songs is very well fitting for its name.
I love this album. Seriously not a bad song. I personally love Closer to You and Somebody.
For him, I think the cohesiveness you’re talking about missing is purposeful in a way - since the point of it is his thing was doing a bunch of genres in one. Aka the album called Golden as he’s seen as a Golden Maknae (good at a bit of everything) in the end the storyline is told at each part of a relationship, you’re going from one point of a relationship then to a lustful part, then the hurt and heartache, and then losing yourself as it goes. Little by little it tells the story of a relationship :) loved the album, agreed I didn’t thing Please Don’t Change was my cup of tea. All the others are great
I think Still With You is along the lines of Hate You in a way from his songs. Maybe a tad of Stay Alive
what i love about Jungkook album its easy to sing and pickup the lyricso of the song the more u listen to it and jam with him .. and the beat so cool then his voice wow
I love this album. It’s an absolute no skip for me. Yeah the lyrics might not be overly complex but he didn’t write them. I’d be so interested to see what a Korean solo album from him would sound like!
I love all the songs on the album! Of course the three main tracks are amazing...Seven 3D, SNTY, but my favorite B sides was Too Sad to Dance and Yes or No but the more I listen to it... Please Dont Change and Somebody has became my absolute favorites!tracks....

React to JK performing live in NYC his only performance before leaving to the military not too long after it’s epic. The concert that was free announced and confirmed only I believe 30 minutes before show but many smart ARMYs showed up before it became official. Thousands of ARMYS, tourists and locals packed the streets to watch JK performance so I hope you can react to the JK NYC mini concert. The album throughout had really catchy songs that any songs could’ve been singles. Outside of the popular first 3 singles that I loved, Somebody is up there as a favorite mine with Jk sounding vocally different and am mesmerized by the haunting composition of the song. Hate You would be a very emotional song for those involved in relationship breakups so I’d probably torture myself by listening to it endlessly if I was in that sad state. Too Sad to Dance and Please Don’t Change are the songs I liked the least but really, the whole album have songs that are all catchy so Golden is a no skip album for me

Closer is a grower defenetly. when i first heard it i didnt get it. But then i heard more times by coincidence and i just kinda get the mood. Now i think is my fav from the álbum

The statement about "JK is like a sponge" is suit him very well.
From this album we can get a lot of a very popular amazing artists vibe. Ex JT vibe, MJ vibe, JB vibe n Jesse mc carney vibe like what you said. And it's really shows how versatile he is as an artist. For me personally, my favourite will always be his own style like Still with you and Stay Alive 💜

Please dont change is actually one of the most streamed bsides on the album so it is a lot of peoples favorite but I agree, its probably my least favorite on the whole album
You must need to try " Let go " by BTS , it's an japanese song but so good first try the lyrics one and then stage mix video. I hope you'll thanking me later after hearing it .
