Your enthusiasm for this project was infectious (not that I needed much help getting excited about something based on A League of Their Own). I also loved Mina’s contributions to to video. 😉
Here I am nearly 2 years later and I'm so thankful for this video! My Mom and I are making this costume for Halloween and since we live 1200 miles apart we're doing it while I'm visiting this week. She's a good quilter but hadn't made clothes in a while and I can sew a pillowcase on a good day. Needless to say we needed a little help. You did such a good job, and hopefully ours turns out as well!
“I feel... no” big mood. I don’t know how I missed this video when you made it! I love it so much!!! 😍 I saved it to watch with my coffee this morning and it was the perfect start to my day. I can’t wait to make my own uniform, now.
I'm so happy FR led me here! That was a great film, don't think I'd ever try to make one of the outfits myself but right now I'm leaning heavily into mythological/fantasy/vaguely historically inspired gowns and capes *insert banging head against a brick wall here* You did a great job on this. :D
@@SewBiased Already downloaded onto my laptop! :D I want to finish my (pseudo) tartan circle skirt first though before I start on any wardrobe-esque projects along with my competition endeavour.
I must say, your french accent was pretty accurate when you said "la boîte à secret". 👌 I'm also a FR member from Montréal. ❤️ You did an amazing job on this!
Hi, I just want to say Thankyou so much for this, I just completed my Rockford peaches uniform and your video was a huge huge help 🥰 Thankyou so much for that
A League of their own is my absolute favorite movie. I can watch it over and over😊 Thank you so much for this tutorial. Do you know where I may be able to get the peach color fabric? So far I've only seen a poly/cotton twill blend fabric.
@@SewBiased I think I may have found some on ebay. It's kind of a peachy pink but I also saw a peachy yellow. Sometimes it was hard to tell from screenshots. Sometimes it looked pinkish and sometimes looked yellowish. I decided to try for the peachy pink😁
Hey there only just come across this video. It was great thank you - I know it's a late suggestion as it was months ago but yes a video about the queer history of the league would be lovely. :)
This is awesome! Great job also love that movie and watched the documentary with the two ladies. Think a video on the LGBTQ history would be interesting

This is fantastic! I appreciate the history you added, the Nina footage and your enthusiasm! You look awesome in it!
Thanks so much! It was a huge labour of love, and I'm so thrilled with the results!
Hi this is Reina from the FR Discord. I love this! I was just thinking of rewatching A League of Their Own. This turned out so well!
Thank you so much, I was so happy with it!

Capes are a really great place to start. Have you seen the American Duchess cape pattern?

Thank you! I have 12 years of French immersion to thank for the accent!
Love it! It looks amazing.
Looks great! It makes me happy how happy this project clearly makes you :)
Thanks so much, it really was a blast, and the finished product was even better than I hoped for!

I searched youtube to find someone who made this uniform and am very pleased, that you did it. Is the new 'A league of their own' series incredible?
It's so incredible!!!
You did an absolutely fabulous job and look truly terrific!
Thanks so much! It was such a labour of love!
This was great! Awesome work!
I'm making my Halloween costume right now, lol. I'm gonna be a "casual" witch and go roller skate at the park tomorrow
That sounds like an awesome plan!
HEY How did you do that? Looks amazing!!!!
Wonderful!
Great job on this and Happy Halloween🎃⚾
Thank you so much!

I was super lucky in that my local fabric store just happened to have it. I would probably try online?

Thanks so much, I'll see what I can put together!
Did you size down or did you fit as you went? I had the same problem with the fit.
I fit as I went, but it fit in the bust, just not in the waist/hips, so the size I chose was probably right
Okay, I figured... I finished mine too... I love it.
How hard was this to sew? Like what level of difficulty would you say it was?
Luke, advanced beginner to intermediate? Sewing it wasn't super hard, but tailoring it was a little fussy.
@Sew Biased awesome thanks!
@Sew Biased it turned out really well btw. It was super cute and looked really good
Thank you, it was so much fun to make!
Ah yes, and I will do french seams on my petticoat. 😁👍
They're surprisingly easy once you get the hang of them!
