I honestly don't mind that Darkside was recycled for KH3. It feels fitting to return to it given how iconic it is, and I'm fine with sacrificing the "challenge" for that smidge of fanservice.
@@TransDrummer1312 yes one kill on critical mode with no ng+ is very impressive for darkside. getting killed by him just once at one point in your life is i pressive. im almost proud of him that he got to kill me once.
0:35 this is such a critically underappreciated joke, implying that mindlessly using horizontal slash is how to defeat one of the most difficult bosses in the series hahah
considering his joke-fight at the beginning and his involvement in the final battle, I always felt it would have made the most sense for Timeless Pete to join you as a party member. Shame that didn't happen
I will add in defense of the Darkside in kh3 (and remind), you shouldn't look at them as a tutorial teach you the basics boss or a look how far we've come boss, but exclusively as story relevant bosses. The kh3 dive to the Heart intro is still to this day an enigma, we don't know when it's happening or why exactly, and there is no tutorial going on in it besides the choose your build section. Everything else, including the boss, is part of mysterious symbolism and foreshadowings. Mainly in the way the Kh1 intro is recreated, with Riku now a shining light standing strong against the tide, and in the section in the Kh1 intro where sora resurfaces and sees Kairi, he now resurfaces and finds a water Darkside. This is then taken more literally in remind, where we have the other darkside, now with Kairi's petal in it. The only thing that comes to mind as to why this scenes were made is for foreshadowing or recollection of what happens at the graveyard, with the voice mentioning the 7 hearts to save, Riku standing strong against the demon tide, and Kairi's heart and what happens to it during the game still being a big mystery with a lot of hints pointing that it was missing or smth akin to that. (With most of them implying both subtly and not subtly that her heart might have gone inside Sora's again for the duration of kh3) Still can't get over sora forgetting he saved Riku's heart in base kh3, since he says he only saved 6 hearts in remind, and remind purposefully skips over Riku's sacrifice while replaying literally everything else verbatim from before the tear, so Sora still doesn't know what Riku did currently.
Wow, I've played KH2 like 20 times and I somehow never knew that Pete just didn't attack you in that fight. I guess every time I was too eager to beat him up that I never noticed.
Rock titan is funny. I always get in between his heads and wail on one until I get the "about to start headbanging Sora" cue and just turn and start wailing on the other head. Lather, rinse, repeat until death.
Great video! I’m not sure what boss I would pick for the easiest required fight, but I feel that some of the early game KH2 bosses like Shan Yu are climbing up there because you can use Mickey for them. Even on level 1, he invalidates most of the potential challenge.
Hi I found you from Snakwa’s stream and I guessed that I would watch a video from you and this one was pretty good. The easiest kh boss I’ve done is the jafar boss from ReCoded (the first and only kh game I’ve ever played). But the video was very good I liked it and subbed after. I can’t wait for the content you’re gonna make in the future 😃👍
Like most fights in KHIII, Marshmallow absolutely brutal on Critical. Honestly I’d say most early and mid game fights in KHIII Critical are harder than late game fights because your stats are so low and you have less tools at your disposal
I genuinely thought KH3 Darkside's moves are performed as fast as in recom. Gotta say it packs a punch, so I can't say it's the easiest version of it since the actually easiest version is the KH1 at the end game. Vexen and Lexaeus in CoM GBA are pushovers, because their attacks don't pose an immediate threat and can be card broken just in time, and using Fire or Dark Mode just annihilates them.
Are you going to make a story explanation of the series video ? With your voice would be nice to watch, also I don’t think there is a story explanation video out there that includes KH3
@@jj_grabesI personally think KH1 has aged badly, but not on a graphical level. Rather solely on a gameplay level. I enjoy KH1's greater focus on platforming, but that's heavily diminished when said platforming and the combat is so slow and clunky.
KH3 darkside is the easiest version of Dark Side? Bro didn’t play on critical mode. It was literally a meme how ridiculously hard it was on critical lmao.
@@GibbyTheBeardyou clearly didn’t see all the meme videos of even professional runners getting their shit stomped in on the darkside fight the week critical mode came out. Revionist history is crazy
@@ErikthedoodIt was just them not avoiding the easily avoidable attacks because they weren't expecting to be 2-3 shot. They were used to mashing X and tanking the hits on Proud. AHA! This video was just a way for me to talk about Genie Jafar and Rock Titan, gotcha!
I'm here for it 🗣️‼️

Still working on the Selphie superboss on Destiny Islands. Her attack patterns are pretty hard to learn but I’m making progress.
That Air Gear soundtrack still hits the same to this day, great video!
The last thing I expected at the end of this video was Parappa going “I GOTTA BELIEVE!” not unwelcome but unexpected.

I’ve always felt that the tutorial Axel fight should have been a bit longer, maybe give him an extra health bar or something.

Do you have any playlists for playing the game? I like your videos and feel like you'd have good commentary for a playthrough.
none of the Kingdom hearts games will be remade ever, i believe in an interview Nomura himself said they are done remaking the games
Plus honestly I feel like even 1 hasn’t aged too bad, so I wouldn’t really see the point of remaking it beyond somehow adding more lore and content.
