I have been an LA Lakers fan since 1965-66. In all fairness, I cannot blame fans not in the major markets for talking more about the losers than the winners. If the Lakers won the series, these videos would not be discussing why the Denver Nuggets lost.

Because media (and fault of the league itself) has been talking and still talking about LeBron... for the entire season... media has focused on LeBron and the Lakers... a play-in team. Blaming AD for this series loss is ridiculous. He's asked to do much since the Lakers are horrible on the perimeter. The Lakers team chemistry just isn't good enough when Lebron is on the court. We have seen some games in the regular season (when Lebron sat out) where they looked a better as an overall team with more chemistry and some of those players (out from under the long shadow that Lebron casts) proved that they can be those players that Lebron needs to get points.
Unfortunately, Lebron just doesn't have time on his side to build that kind of trust in those players around him (in the same way that Jokic does with his Nuggets teammates) and that is why I don't see a Lebron led Lakers team winning a title under non bubble conditions (which was the perfect storm for them specifically).
You always felt that the Nuggets had several other gears they could switch up to if/when it was needed (generally in the 2nd half) whereas the Lakers you felt were putting pretty much everything into the first half (they led after the 1st half in every single game of the series) but just couldn't sustain it in the 2nd half (they never outscored the Nuggets in the 2nd half of any game in the series, even the game they won).

The Lakers messed up when they constructed a team with a bunch of one way guards and no real centers. They won a championship when they had a well balanced team around Lebron and AD.

Denver Nuggets won 4-1, and they played poorly, far below their normal quality. But, they still won, just because they had enough talent to overcome their poor play. Nikola Jokic did not seem to assert himself in that last game, and maybe it was because he felt his touch was really off, so he decided to do more passing everywhere.

The Lakers has a great roster... they just don't have a great team because they don't have a core that's played together for long or feels secure in their spots. Denver has the same core for several years and the players feel like they're family. Lakers trying so hard to win Bron a Chip that they can't build a family. Sucks for them because I'm a Nuggets fan and I'm glad they can't figure out our formula for success.

It's funny to me how AD gets all the blame. He has been their best player for the last 2-3 years. What went wrong? They played a better team. D-Lo was a non-factor. Austin Reeves was up and down. Lebron was Lebron. Let's not forget that AD led the team in points(tied with Lebron), rebounds, blocks, and FG%. Put respect on his name.

I am a Nuggets fan, but the Lakers weren't healthy, Reddish, Wood, Vanderbilt were all out. I am not sure they make a difference but it certainly wouldn't have hurt having them available.

Lakers do not have the continuity necessary throughout the season related to various injuries. Lakers showed heart, and could have won game 2 and 5. If Vando is playing, this series could have been very different.

Denver has a young core, and is going to be better next year. The only starter at-risk of leaving in free agency is KCP, and I think the Nuggets will lock him up for a couple of years. Next year and after, they can use Bird exemptions to maintain this lineup.
