  • Yung chow fried rice
Yung chow fried is one of the few dishes where Chinese chef agreed on the ingredients. It has chicken, char siu and small prawns.
This is a classic fried rice dish from the Chinese province of Yang Chow.

    50g cooked chicken breast
    40g cooked prawns
    50g char siu
    30g garden peas
    ½ egg
½ stalk finely chopped spring onion
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    ¼ teaspoon MSG
    ½ tablespoon dark soy sauce
    1 teaspoon light soy sauce

The most important lesson I learnt on this channel was Scented oil. This made my dishes taste like those from a take-away. Thank you for that and all the other tips. I wouldn't bother applying to be a freemason though, what with you giving away all your secrets.

Followed soo many fried rice recipies but it was when I tried Khoan's singapore fried rice dish I stopped listening to everyone else. I will be making this for sure... and like the other poster mentioned scented oil makes a big difference.

I'm liking the look of this Khoan, I will give it a try. It shares some of the ingredients with hot and sour soup which I am a dab-hand at now, thanks to your channel! So good to be the first to comment on your brand new video too ~_^

Looks absolutely delish!! A quick question.. what is the difference between this and special fried rice? When I order a Special, it comes with prawn, chicken and char siu pork, pretty much how you cooked it here. Is there a difference or is it just the name??

This is the authentic Yang chow fried rice. With special fried rice , shop tend to put whatever they want in the dish. My special fried rice has the same ingredients, except it's in big pieces with king prawn instead of small prawns.

    Oh hello 😋😋🥰
We had a fake Asian food truck at work yesterday, like me Uncle Roger would be crying at the food they made. Asian ancestors from far back must be very angry with the UK now it was awful. Soggy not even fried noodles and coated chicken nuggets in sweet chilli sauce that they called Malaysian sweet and sour chilli chicken 😭😭😭
Makes me ashamed to be white, so I’ll redeem myself for eating it by learning from a real chef. Thank the gods and Buddha for China and all of Asia 🥰❤️ 🇸🇬🇹🇭🇮🇳🇳🇵 and lots more
