I would definitely save it. She's not in bad shape. My brother in law had a 56 windsor in black once. Had that 318 poli hemisphere engine. I was lucky enough to find a 56 New Yorker years later with the 354 Hemi. It was rust free and complete. Ran great and I'm sure the guy that bought it still has it in his garage. Awesome cars!
Made 10 years before I was born. 🤣 I just love the 1956 model year. 😍 Still flowing your build. Not many people making their own car. Quite interesting to me.
That big A/C compressor is a Lehigh model V-93, made in Lancaster, PA. It is a 4-cylinder unit, probably consumes about 30hp. My '56 DeSoto has the same compressor paired with a Frigi-King under-dash unit. I guess that's where Chrysler dealers were sourcing their kits from.
Buick and Oldsmobile sold more cars than the Chrysler Division in those years...but Chrysler Division didn't sell low price cars like the Buick Special and Oldsmobile 88.
@@XGarage-nj2uf yep, I looked it up when Mags was doing the Mopar Hoard auction. In 76 they changed to a Texas shaped divider. I think 75 was also the only year you could have a 4 or 5 digit plate number, the plate on my old Dodge was XXX (star) 89, which was issued to my dad in June of '75 right before we moved back to TX. My 70 Barracuda also had a '75 license plate. (Texas went to multi year plates in '75)
@@Tumbleweed_Tx I bought 2 cars from the MOPAR Hoard auction. I checked and the plate has a star in the middle. Looks like I will restore them and put them back on the car.

When I see a car like this I think about when it rolled off the showroom floor, man if I could only have witnessed that, very cool.

Welcome aboard....got some great stuff coming up.
A nice find there, look forward to seeing it run again
The spark plugs were removed at some point and sat. Motor is stuck.
@@XGarage-nj2uf oh no
Very cool car and find!👍
Not too many around these days. 66 years later. Parts are not easy to find.

Sounds like it was meant to be for you to have....good deal
I watched it for a very long time. Glad it was still there for me to purchase.
the 1975 plates are the only multi-year plates with a star separating the letters and numbers
Really? I will keep and repaint them.

How mulch you pay
The price kept on going up over the year that I watched it online. Buying it at the start of the year would have made it $600 cheaper. 🤣
