I have bought high end, drug store, indie brands and luxury and I have to say that a lot of the times the luxury products to me are not worth the price. Many times I hear beauty channels that talk about say the ‘pigmentation’ of some luxury shadows is ‘not as strong’ because they go for ‘light’ ‘classy’ looks but honestly having such a high collection and not being a ‘light/fair’ skin person, I would disagree that those luxury brands lack pigmentation due to being made for ‘classy’ looks. There are times when I can barely see the colors and for the price they are not worth it. So I personally appreciate you giving your honest opinion on luxury products.

I agree. A *lot* of matte lipsticks won't age you. I'm 40 yo and *love* my Pat McGrath Matte trance lipsticks. They're so smooth and creamy and don't emphasise lines or texture on the lips. Same for Fenty stunna lip paints, Charlotte Tilbury matte lipsticks, etc. I've also found the matte Revlon ones to be very comparable to Pat McGrath matte lipstick formula. So there's a tip for people who want a drugstore option.

I’m going to get ripped to shreds, but ELF just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t really love the whole copying the bigger brands thing, but I did try some of their”dupes”to see if I could save a little money, no. I just don’t like how their products sit on my skin, and I don’t feel they last either. I’ll admit that they do seem to look nice on other people. I just don’t care for their stuff. Not complexion, eyes, lips…I do think their brushes are good for anyone on a budget though.
Their balm cleanser is excellent and their brushes are decent. But for actual makeup - Nyx, wet n wild, and even Milani are all coming out with better products for even cheaper than elf
Hey, not everything works for every person. It's all good if elf doesn't work for you. I tried their brow gel, but it doesn't really work well with my ABH DipBrow pomade. I don't mind a few dupes from a drugstore brand, but you're right: they do too many. I would love it if they focused on unique products instead of all the dupes.
I love the Gucci lipglosses but you’re right the colours look a little misleading as they are a lot less pigmented but the formula is great and I love that it’s not too pigmented

I just bought the shade Rose to Fame from the Hollywood Icon collection (my first Charlotte Tilbury purchase!), and the glitter doesn't bother me. Indeed, I was pretty excited to see the sparkle when I swatched it. I do acknowledge that we all have differing tastes, needs, and expectations, however. I'm sorry that formula wasn't for you!
The only new makeup I've tried this year is the elf plumping gloss stick and I think it's mid. It's pretty goopy and doesn't have the pigment I wanted - it's significantly sheerer than the swatch photos show. The plumping isn't great either, it's tolerable but still a little uncomfortable. I got the red shade and I'd rather not have it because it's not what it's described as.

I really enjoyed the CT lipstick. I heard it was gritty but mine is super smooth. I have not tried any other products you mentioned. I have been enjoying older products though. Ones that launched a while ago and are not on everyone’s radar anymore.

So many American UA-camrs I watch have this huge range of brands to review that aren't stocked in Europe. And Essence, which is, I believe, a German brand doesn't even stock some products in Germany. Hello lash princess brown mascara, not available here yet. Upsetting. So when you spoke about that lip ink from the drugstore in Spain? Yup, welcome to drugstore make-up in Europe. We have Maybelline and L'Oréal and essence, sure. But that's the only good stuff. And often, not the full ranges are available. And sometimes not all the shades are sold here. Rant over
The glitter lipstick may have been a bad batch. There is a British makeup reviewer named Charlotte H. who said that her icon baby did not feel gritty at all. She knew about the complaints. So there may have been a bad batch where the glitter floated to the bottom of the barrel last say and was made into a gritty formula. You should contact her if you have questions on her lipstick review.

WOW, first and foremost, I want to send all my sympathy to the loved ones in Maryland, I watched what happened on the news, so shocking, yes, I agree with Icon Baby, but you know a few years ago Urban Decay had a metallic lipstick called Heat and I actually loved that colour but the feel of it turned me off. Never bought the Huda eyeshadows as everyone was disappointed with the staying power. I would love it if you did a video on the best hydrating facial mists. Thank you, lovely 🥰 🌟
My least favorite products of the year so far is the About Face brand as a whole. The glitter eye paints migrate onto my cheekbones, the matte eye paints make my eye area look so dry, the eyeshadow sticks blend out so sheer and are very pointed so it feels like I'm stabbing myself in the eye when I use them, and finally the foundation in the fair shades (lol) are way too deep and the undertones are too strong.
The glitter in Icon Baby was soooo disappointing! I had to return it literally the next day because the glitter got IN MY MOUTH! It felt like I was crunching down on sand 😭
Tbh, I’m a huge fan of maybelline however their mascara is a big flop! 😢 I’ve used it before, but for some reason it’d clump up….one of the worst mascaras I’ve ever tried….
I have the Creamy griege palette. For me they last and don’t crease. I have oily eyelids but I use primer and set with powder before applying. The glitter in that one is so pretty.
Bourgeois is hit or miss. We get it in our drug stores in canada. Some of their foundations used to be the best drugstore foundation you could get but not sure that is the case anymore. I never had luck with their lip products. I feel like they haven’t updated their formulas like other staples have.
I feel like I saw that line in pharmacies in France and Spain in the past, but that was pre-covid. Frankly, I see all kinds of expired makeup products in US drugstores these days.
I absolutely hate the Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Tinted Moisturizer. Makes my face look like a desert 🏜. There is another influencer who raved about it and I fell for it. Big fail!
Huda's palettes are not worth the hype in general. The last palette I got was Empowered and I feel like I payed $70 for 2 gold glitters (which are beautiful). The rest of the palette is very whatever. I like the color selection but at that price i want great eyeshadows and its not giving. I Prefer BH Cosmetics & Colourpop over Huda (eyeshadow wise).
I've started putting my foundation on my forehead first, then i do my brows, then my eyes (I'm so messy with shadow) then my face after cleaning up from my fallout. Then i touch up my brows if needed. Lashes, and lastly lips. It's easier for me to make sure i have the skin around and between my brows covered with my foundation.
When I see your reviews of the lip products it makes me think so much of how surprised I am each time I hear people rave about Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick that just does exactly what you showed on my lips. It is simply the ugliest. I’ve even got a second one thinking that my product has an issue
I purchased two of the Skkn by Kim lipsticks and liners, and they are the worst lip products I have ever bought in my entire life. They are offensively bad.
I love the fact that you’re not easily impressed every other person here starts gushing about products as soon as they apply I have stopped buying their reviews.

I have the Creamy griege palette. For me they last and don’t crease. I have oily eyelids but I use primer and set with powder before applying. The glitter in that one is so pretty.
Icon baby was the Jacklyn lipstick of the collection so disappointed. So much bumpy stuff in it just awful!
Bourgeois is hit or miss. We get it in our drug stores in canada. Some of their foundations used to be the best drugstore foundation you could get but not sure that is the case anymore. I never had luck with their lip products. I feel like they haven’t updated their formulas like other staples have.
Bourjous is really old, I don’t see them anywhere anymore. Maybe that product is expired, I would throw that away.
I feel like I saw that line in pharmacies in France and Spain in the past, but that was pre-covid. Frankly, I see all kinds of expired makeup products in US drugstores these days.
I do not like the Patrick ta lip liner lol it's weird shaped to apply and it's dry. I had to go over with the liner several times😢
I absolutely hate the Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Tinted Moisturizer. Makes my face look like a desert 🏜. There is another influencer who raved about it and I fell for it. Big fail!

Huda's palettes are not worth the hype in general. The last palette I got was Empowered and I feel like I payed $70 for 2 gold glitters (which are beautiful). The rest of the palette is very whatever. I like the color selection but at that price i want great eyeshadows and its not giving. I Prefer BH Cosmetics & Colourpop over Huda (eyeshadow wise).

I've started putting my foundation on my forehead first, then i do my brows, then my eyes (I'm so messy with shadow) then my face after cleaning up from my fallout. Then i touch up my brows if needed. Lashes, and lastly lips. It's easier for me to make sure i have the skin around and between my brows covered with my foundation.

When I see your reviews of the lip products it makes me think so much of how surprised I am each time I hear people rave about Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk lipstick that just does exactly what you showed on my lips. It is simply the ugliest. I’ve even got a second one thinking that my product has an issue

I purchased two of the Skkn by Kim lipsticks and liners, and they are the worst lip products I have ever bought in my entire life. They are offensively bad.

dont get me wrong I like a lot, as the makeup brands have really mastered solid formulas with the modern technology BUT I do like a good roast video every now and then!
