4:53 In order to prevent my food being in contact with that Teflon or whatever nonstick surface that is, I bought a set of 8½ air fryer stainless steel baskets. It comes with 3 baskets and a silicone brush. To air fry on the "Classic Cook" mode, I only use one basket on the bottom of the fryer that would be at around the same level of the Dreo ChefMaker's bottom tray. To grill my steak on "Chef Mode", which I would normally use the ChefMaker's "Grilling Rack", I use 2 of those stackable baskets so that it can be at the same level as their own grilling rack. Works very well. I kept searching for stainless steel air fryers that would be similar to the other air fryers and not so much like an oven air fryer. Those oven air fryers look great but it would be too big for my tiny kitchen which has very little counter space, so the Dreo ChefMaker is actually a good size in width. It is big from front to back and the height is pretty tall but it is more narrow than the oven air fryers that I've seen. I just didn't like that it was not stainless steel on the inside. I was hoping that Dreo would sell separate trays and grilling racks that are actually made of stainless steel but they don't. They just sell baskets and cooking trays that are the exact same thing that come with the ChefMaker. 😟 Oh well. I'm just glad I found those stainless steel air fryer baskets that I got.
You just answered a "question" that's been at the back of my mind for a while now. Stackable stainless steel racks will let me cook a lot more bacon at once (I think) so I just ordered a set 3x 8" square racks that stack on top of each other. The original Dreo standard rack is a bit flimsy and awkward to hand wash, I've found, so hopefully this set will help with that as well.
Oh Lordy, looks SO GOOD! I’m looking for a chunk of brisket on sale to give my DREO a workout. I love my DREO and can highly recommend. I live alone in a condo, where a smoker would not be allowed, so this is right up my alley. THANK YOU NILI for showing us the way. (PS: I was in Washington State last week, and brought home an 18 lb boneless whole Angus ribeye from US Chefs Store, based on your recommendation. Saved lots of $$$$ over what we pay in Canada. Can’t wait to get it all packaged for the freezer, and of course, save one right away for the DREO. Thank you again Nili.)
Had great results with brisket by cooking in an electric pressure cooker first (trivet in the bottom, so brisket is above the base and water), followed by finishing in oven/air fryer/halogen oven, and in far less time, which is down to the pressure cooker of course.
I purchased thr Dreo during the kickstarter campaign and use it almost daily for cooking meats (I even made the brisket myself). I would love to see you do some baking demos with it. Maybe some egg white buns. Thanks for all the testing and recipe sharing you do!
I bought a Dreo on your recommendation using your link. It’s being delivered today. I’ve got a NY strip steak all thawed and ready to try it out. Going to Costco tomorrow… hopefully they’ll have brisket I can’t wait to try that out as well in my new Dreo. Thanks
I got my Dreo ChefMaker just a few days ago! I love it! I never had an air fryer before so I cannot compare to a regular air fryer but I can tell you that this air fryer is the bomb! I love it! I already cooked my steak in there. I also cooked bacon and shrimp. Separately of course. 🥓😂🍤 I cooked steak twice in my Dreo ChefMaker. The first one I did with the sous vide method and the second one I did in the Classic mode. The chef maker calls it Sous-vide "Flavor" and Classic "Flavor." 🤣 Why "Flavor"? Why not "method" or "mode"? 🤷🏻♀️😂
I’m curious how it does for steaks etc in terms of searing. Pan made gets em nice and crispy on the outside and am wondering if anyone knows how this does with that ??
I didn't have steak seasoning so I used onion flakes and I didn't have paprika so guess what chili powder and regular mustard and regular Redmonds real salt before and bake in oven.
Any suggestions for settings to use to cook picanha in the Dreo? Wrap in foil or not? Thanks for the brisket demo ❤️ - it gives me the courage to try it! 😊
Nili do You have much experience with it doing sous vide? Would this stand in place well for real sous vide? Thank You for always doing such great informative videos for us!! You are The Queen!!
There is a "sous vide style" options for certain cuts of meat in the chef mode. An actually sous vide would be more versatile if the sous vide is something you want to do a lot of
6:09 it doesn't need the water because you wrapped the meat in foil for moisture retention. When I cooked my steak in the sous vide method, it did need the water. But then when I cooked the second steak in the Classic Cook method, it also asked for water on the top reservoir. So I guess when you cook meat in most any mode or method, it will ask for water. And here I thought the water was only ever needed in the sous vide method. 💦😄
Am I the only one who doesn't really care for smoky flavored steak? Or smoked cheese? Or the flavor of smoked salmon? I just don't like it. To me, it's like I'm eating a campfire. 😝
Please, please, please….stop calling your creations or results “products”…..it’s a cold commercial word and words matter (think of the Emoto ice crystals and rice fermentation experiments). It’s just another slow and deliberate degeneration of everything wholesome and uplifting….I literally cringe every time I hear a UA-camr use the word ‘product’…..especially by someone who has influence and a public platform. You’d be surprised how easily and quickly people pick up such words and start parroting them unthinkingly. Put more love in your food…don’t let them corrupt everything. 🙂💕👍🏻🤗
More DREO stuff please. 😊
Another way to make brisket is a fantastic thing! Looks amazing!
7:40 🤣 🐕 Your doggie smelled the brisket! 🤣 🐕❤️

Do you have a link to the specific one you purchased?

You out done yourself on this one. That looks so, so, so, delicious.
Well, I can't resist anymore. This looks amazing, so I ordered one. ❤️🥰❤️

Love some brisket for sure! Looks good!

Looks amazing… have you done a Chuck Roast in the Chefmaker?

Delicious!
Looks great!
Thank you. Did you really get the thermometer into the dreo in one try? I always take a few tries. Can you try some equip brownies in there?
Tried cooking a brisket in the oven and my hubby came home and thought the smell was disgusting for days 😝I wonder if the airfryer would be the same…
How would I cook this in the oven, how long and how hot?
Yummy
When I try looking for the link it just takes me to all the videos of everyone reviewing it!

Anything smoked or smoke flavor gives me heartburn 😢

4:45 That's not the center.
It was the center of the thickest part 👍🏼
How dare you do that to a Briskit😂😂

I totally agree.
You’re not alone, I’m not a fan of any smoke flavor.
I can’t do most smoked things, but beef and pork I do like.
Campfire is good 😊
I dont like smoky meat or the smoked salts either.
Way overpriced even with the discount!
