I find it kind of funny that it didn't occur to him what a bad idea taking her to an event with people he respects would be; because it's very obvious how differently he treated them compared to her. He didn't care when she was off to the side or outside when he was inside talking with his mother and ex. He dragged her to the party, he knew everyone while she only knew him and he spent almost the entire night forgetting she existed until he was ready to leave. But he expects her to just take it on the chin to keep him, because he sees himself as someone above her, and her wants, needs and feelings are irrelevant compared what *his* decisions, even when it's about *her* life and future.
Haven't watched the series, so Thanks for this because it adds a bit of context to this clip that is alittle confusing honestly if you dont know what exactly is going on.
Nail on the head. He accepted a job in Paris and never discussed it with her. She found out by accident. Then he gaslights her about being childish when she confronted him. Then later he was making plans to stay there on a more permanent basis and for her to uproot her life and move to France to be with him. All without ever actually discussing with her about it. And every time she tells him that’s not ok for him to do he treats her like she has no right to be upset. He didn’t cheat on her like the caption says, but neither has he ever really respected her because in his mind she is not his equal.
@@yenildaarredondo7424 I know he didn't cheat, the titles are clickbait, but he isn't a good boyfriend, he is overbearing and he does act like his decisions are what's best even when he's trying to decide things on her behalf about her career and future.
@@jordie6688 Exactly, he made major decisions that uprooted his own life without even telling his girlfriend about them, let alone discussed it with her. Then he got annoyed when she was rightfully upset and put her down and was *shocked* when she tried to break-up but convinced her to get back together, even his father played a part, and now he's deciding on her behalf that she's moving to Paris to be with him without any input on what *she* wants because in his mind: 'Why wouldn't she want to plan her life around my wants and career, I'm the ones whose career is more important,' then gets annoyed at her *again* when she gets rightfully upset by him deciding and expecting her to do whatever he decides is best *again* .

Two different world /she is not stupid she knows . She just said . they are heading to different directions even if they are close but they are just passers by . I just hope that in the future she will remember the humilation she suffered being with him in France .
Why didn’t she stay by his side, she is the one who walked away and chose to stand alone at a table? When you choose to go to a Social Gathering it’s up to you to Socialize or you can stand in a corner alone! If language is going to be a problem then maybe you shouldn’t go! This girl wanted to be the center of attention and when she wasn’t she would run away to draw attention to herself! She was Spoiled by her family and had a hard time coping when everyone didn’t treat her like her family did
That scene with her sitting at another table being ignored is so painful to watch. Speaks volumes.
