Thank you for the nice interview gentlemen! The Moody Blues are my absolute favorite band of all time, especially their recordings from 1967-1981 ... Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas (RIP), and Graeme Edge (RIP). I absolutely treasure the Hayward/Lodge Blue Jays album from 1975, but can't help wondering what a Hayward/Pinder record would have sounded like. I guess it will have to remain an unfulfilled dream. Their classic recordings have been such a great comfort throughout my life. God bless them for the musical gifts they left us all! Cheers.
Brilliant romp of a podcast, Gary and Guy, a most pleasant listen. Serendipity has cast its light on Justin since he was 8 with that ukulele. Timing is everything. Enjoyed the reminiscences about Marty, ‘Huge Muddle,’ 007 Pindy, Graeme’s cymbals and wordy verse, Noel Gallagher, and Hot Legs on ‘Blue Guitar.’ The Moodies’ instincts were spot-on... they were indeed at the forefront with concept albums, soundscapes, psychedelia, and tunes that suited FM radio to a T. Justin’s oeuvre is unparalleled, a truly impressive body of work. Most refreshing is the fact that he’s remained grounded, always modest, with a firm grip on his dignity. ‘America... f**k, yes!’ It’s music to our ears. Best to all on the Rockonteurs production team, as well as to Justin and Alberto.
Great interview too! Now I know where Justin and Alberto are in Italy. They are near Portofino and Genoa a beautiful area .!! I love listening to Justin talk, new things always come to Light! I wish ❤ he would write a Book!! He remembers so much! ❤ thanks again!
Justin and all the Moodies as individuals and as a group are pure 1st class. Frankly speaking, i thing the Moodies are one of the rare groups that were brought together by Divine Intervention cause after all, God listens to music too i would think
What i was trying to say is why aren't these podcasts being filmed would like to see all of you on the screen like the mick fleetwood session check you out every week on spotify if it was videotaped I'd watch it here Would love to hear from Townshend
