I want to see the RV tour! I did not think this was a motor home I thought it was a fifth wheel it looks so roomy I have a Fleetwood boundary and mine is 35 feet
newly widowed, 1979, I bought a forty by 12 manufactured home on a tiny beach town lot. It had the usual dark inner walls etc. I went to the paint store, asked no questions, painted the walls, no prep, because I didn't know better. The paint looked great, for about an hour, then started bubblig and peeling. To make this a shorter story, I finally got some advice, and eventually got the walls looking like I wanted. But, oh my, the trauma. Now I am in the market for a rv to live in full time and know I will be painting, and your videos are super helpful. where were you in those early days. Probably in grade school, that was so long ago. Thanks so much for all your help!
Awww Judy, I’m so sorry for that awful experience with paint! We didn’t want that so we researched the heck out of it! 😆 I’m thankful that it can help others in the process!!
Your home is absolutely gorgeous! I have worked with "professional" remodeling crews and do over "experts" who couldn't hold a candle to your extremely professional and classic do-over. BRAVO!
These tips and tricks are super helpful! Thank you! (and I’ve watched many 😆 also, by using a paint sprayer it probably ends up paying for itself by saving so much paint over using just a roller and brush - I always feel like 1/3 of the gallon ends up on me, the floor, the pan, the can, the dog, the high nap roller, etc. An edging tool for finishing touches once you’ve unmasked everything is super helpful too! 👍🏼
Paint is soo important. We just bought our first rv and everything looked okay . Started taking things apart for renovation . They had painted over everything and sooo bad . I feel like they were painting while it was in motion . And even taped over peel and stick deco . As in there was already layers of stuff and peel and stick and just put more peel and stick over that . Good thing is it made us go further into taking things apart and doing our own thing.
Super helpful insights on products and paints to use. Proper primer and a water-based latex paint to create longevity seem to be major keys along with all other prep work. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing! One of the best remodels I have seen! Can you share how you built out the master into the kids bunk! So wanting to do this to our motorhome!
Thanks so much. I have a small RV to paint and was wondering how I wud get the paint to stick to all the vinyl covering on the fake wood. I enjoy your videos. Your personalities make them fun.
Fantastic video! Thank you for being so thorough with explaining what you did. I haven't seen anyone do as professional of a job as you did and it feels amazing to finally feel confident that I know what to do to finish my remodel at a high level.
I just got around to watching this- really missed your RV videos. Excellent job explaining the how to’s and the why’s (not to mention I get to see you👏)
Thank you guys I'm about to start painting the cabinets in a 21 foot RV... I'm following your instructions.. the only difference is since my RV as smaller and the cabinets are smaller I plan on removing the cabinets and prepping them outside the way you did the cabinet doors
Terrific advice! I'm a trucker nearing retirement. Just bought an older 23ft motorhome for my future retirement home and I'm gonna try to make it a comfy, attractive place to spend my "golden years" 😊. I'm already used to living small, lol. Thanks for the great info, it'll help this old gal have a place to be proud of!
Thank so much for this video and information. We started demo on a 2008 Camper, I was lost on how to achieve a long lasting paint job on the entire camper I am soooooo glad I found your videos. I now can proceed with more confidence.
Everything looks really Beautiful. Thanks for the info on prep and what kind of paint to use. I've been thinking about doing this and really had no idea what to do or how to start. So thank you. Donita
I can see why spraying is the go-to if you're super-humanly good/fast at masking. :D For my purposes I'm happy enough skipping the tape and cutting in by hand. A decent brush and good quality paint (I'm a huge fan of SW products) almost makes it a joy. Almost...
Is it better to caulk before priming? Ive seen caulks turn yellow when not primed and painted with white. Also seen a different "sheen" when not primed. Looks awsome! That video will show my wife the amount of prep that is involved.
Hey there you adorable Thompson Twins! WELL DONE! Will you tell us about paint FUMES? Odor of these products? How long could you comfortably live in the space that had been painted? THANKS
Your MH is just so beautiful. Thank you so much for this video! We are just about to start painting our MH! We have one very similar to yours ours is a Mandalay Presido 39D. I look forward to any new videos coming. You guys are great!
I've missed you guys sooo much !!!! Yay for this video !! I am in no way surprised how much effort you put into this, and how awesome it looks. So well done !!
Hi love your gorgeous rv. I can’t find the videos on how you actually did this . I also can’t find the one for the closet in the kids room. Please guide me. Thank you 😊
What a beautiful job guys! ! ! I have a question We have a 2002 5th wheel and would love to paint at least the kitchen area. Not sure what the walls are It looks and feels like a vinyl finish bonded to the hard board. There are no loose spot, amazingly. How do you do this type of walls ? Thanks for the help.
It’s more than likely a wall paper, we painted right over wall paper. All our walls were that cheap luan. We still roughed it up with a sander first. I hope this helps!
@@RockinandRollin Wonderful It is a very small kitchen so it wont be that hard . I will do the prep work like you suggested and it should last a long time. Our first camper and I want it to look nice
I keep hearing about a caulk/silicone that the manufacturers use that primer doesn't adhere to and that RVers are peeling it away before priming. Did you do this?
I just want to paint the walls and maybe the ceiling. You said you did no prep on the wall paper, but what tape you recommend to use to cover the cabinets? I don’t want to peel them when taking it off. Thank you
You can, but I wouldn’t suggest it. It’s hard to clean dirt off of flat paint. We did a satin finish it’s matte enough while still being easy to clean!
Just looking at sherwin Williams color samples online, heron plume looks almost cream! I’m wanting a white, a yours looks white in the video. Just want to make sure I’m not missing something?
It’s off-whit because our ceiling was off white and we wanted to make it all feel cohesive. If we did a pure white our ceiling would have looked really bad.
Love the colors! Can you tell me the color of the walls in your 1/2 bath? Also is the brick backsplash painted heron plume , or a different white? Thank you!
We forgot to mention that! Thanks for pointing that out. I can’t remember off the top of my head but when we get the names we will let you know! Thanks for asking.
SO MUCH USEFUL INFO HERE!! Thanks!! Curious which sheen you used or suggest for the ProClassic paint? I plan to use white on walls and a dark blue or green on kitchen cabinets.
Hi! I live in Canada in very extreme cold & hot temperatures. Would the sherwin Williams do well in this climate? Considering the type of humidity? Also wondering how you fixed the paint cracks. Did you just caulk them?
I have a mobile home that I want to redo (thanks for the awesome video) and what do I do to prep some of the cabinets where the 'wood look paper" is lifting. Do I glue then sand? What do you recommend? Thanks so much.
How would you recommend a paint+primer in one? It’s just going to be me, well my kids too if they want to help and have fun lol but mainly me. I agree! Everyone should have one. Thank you so much!
This video had more great painting tips & information than any other video I've watched. The type of caulk & paint was so helpful to know. Thank you!

That is awesome Jennifer! I’m so glad it gave you that boost you needed! We did tons of research ourselves, and I know how you feel!!
You are an amazing inspiration, said it last time as well -- I absolutely love the work you did on your rig. (And the outtakes are great too!)
Thank you so much for those encouraging words Jason.
I’ve missed you guys! I just finished painting our new house, well new to us, as it’s a remodel. We also used Sherwin-Williams. 😁😁🤗
Yay! Such a great company for sure.
This was really really through. I am considering painting our new rv top cabinets and have been looking at tons of U.T. Video's. Thanks guys! :)
Our pleasure!
I wonder if acryllic latex paint would stop the cracks from weather changes? And I truly hope the answer is yes as I’m setting up my roller 😅
Cute puppy ❤ Good job, guys and thanks for the tips.

That’s a strong statement! 😂 we totally agree the prep is awful, but do you know how many nooks and crannies there are in an RV????
I don't, but that's not one of my purposes. 😏
The motor home looks great
Thank you!
Y’all are hilarious! God bless you and your family, keep up the good work 🍻🚌🏖️
Appreciate you guys listing out steps and prices. Helps me and hubby out with a game plan! 👍🏼

Aww thank you so much.
What did you do with the plastic trim between the walls and ceiling ? Can you paint it?
Looks great. So helpful. What colors did you use?
The white is heron plume, the medium grey is mindful grey and the darker grey is gauntlet grey. All Sherwin Williams
Absolutely Fabulous information and knowledge!!! Thank you so much for sharing
Did you guys paint the ceilings and if so did you use the exact same paint as on the walls? And did you have to sand it as well?
It was beautiful. You put in a lot of work in that motor home.
Thank you! Yes we did. 😅
Thank you!! This is going to be so helpful
I’m so glad!
Beautiful upgrade!! You did an amazing job. Love it
Thanks so much!
Hi love your gorgeous rv. I can’t find the videos on how you actually did this . I also can’t find the one for the closet in the kids room. Please guide me. Thank you 😊
We have plans to finish all the videos, we just got very busy.
Do you paint the inside of cabinets doors?
What's the name of the various SW colors used? I like them and want to consider them in my RV paint project! Thank you!
I see you previously provided the paint color information. I'm good now, so please disregard earlier paint ask.
I cant wait for the bathroom.
Are you still making videos miss watching them

Would a polyurethane coat help keep the paint from chipping or peeling?
Great info! Thanks for sharing your tips and trials. I enjoy your videos.
Thank you!
Have you heard of gripper paint? Is supposed to stick to anything. Appreciate the info.
Looks GREAT!
Thanks for the tip!
Yessss missed these videos!
Thank you for watching!
Can you a flat/matte look of the trim paint? Redoing a vintage trailer! Great job
Not sure what you are asking exactly, but we did use a matte.
Sorry about that? It should say - Can you use a flat paint? I want it to have a matte finish.

this one was out for 6months before I saw it.. sorry, I look forward to your new shows. & Halleluiah for Uncle Sam!
Please tell me where you purchased the tv lift/fireplace combo unit!? I need such a thing without breaking the bank!
I think there is a link to it in the description. If not maybe in our remodel video. They are from touchstone!
Great advice and you did such a fantastic job! Everything is beautiful! I would like to know the colors you picked.

Definitely satin! It’s not shiny but very easy to clean. I just wipe our walls with a washcloth and they are clean!
Hi! I live in Canada in very extreme cold & hot temperatures. Would the sherwin Williams do well in this climate? Considering the type of humidity? Also wondering how you fixed the paint cracks. Did you just caulk them?
Yes and yes. Prep and prime are key!
It's very informative video. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Prep makes all the difference. Kind of like those other things you finish.
So true!
😂😂😂
This is beautiful. In the middle of redoing our Park Model Trailer. What type pf countertop did you use? It's perfect.
Dan made them using pine shelving board stained and sealed. Super lightweight but still looked high end!
Great Video... Can you tell me if you used the same shade of white on the cabinets and walls as well. Will you share the shade of white that you used.
We did use the same white. The white is Sherwin Williams “heron plume”, the lighter grey is “mindful grey” and the darker grey is “gauntlet grey”
I am so scared to attempt this in our brand new RV but I LOVE the look! We had the same greys in our sticks and bricks. Great choice!
Thank you!

I think if it were me I would peel and sand. Not sure the glue and sand would last. 🤷🏻♀️
“Caulk”🤣
How do you pronounce “walk”? So cute!
Very informative! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
Any chance ya'll are going to do the rest of the videos? We're mid-Reno and would love to learn more! :)
We have plans to, but I don’t know how soon. 🤦🏻♀️
Really just need to know whT you did with ceiling
We didn’t change the ceiling at all. Just spray painted all the vents white.
BOOM! What up guys!!!!! Been a minute!!!
Hey Jamie!!! You’re telling me.
I love it! What are the colors you used?
You can see all the info in the pinned comment. 😀
Sherwin Williams is the only paint I ever use!
It’s the best in our opinion.
How would you recommend a paint+primer in one? It’s just going to be me, well my kids too if they want to help and have fun lol but mainly me. And if I can minimize the time by using a 2in1 product instead of having to do double the work I’d prefer that but if it won’t be as durable I won’t do it! Wanted to see your opinion?
Honestly, I’ve seen bad results with the 2 in 1. We definitely recommend taking the extra time on the paint job.
I see on the Bulls Eye 1-2-3 primer it says sticks to all surfaces without sanding. Would you recommend still sanding before using this product? What kind of paint did you use on your shower walls?
Yes we recommend lightly sanding still. We used a paint on waterproof membrane.
Hi guys… really cool video and love your vibe… Can you share what was the total cost of your remodeling?
We will make a video at some point, but it was roughly just under $10,000.
How did you address the wallpaper seams ? I have a 3/4” piece covering the seams.
We didn’t do anything but sand and paint over them. We haven’t had any issues.
Just subscribed. Hope to see more videos!
Thank you!
Keeping the bloopers in was the right choice, made the video engaging for me, usually other vids are boring and nonchalant, learned lots from this thank you guys
Is there a video about your shower remodel?
Not yet 😕
@Rockin’ and Rollin’
Good Evening, I’m probably very behind in your family’s beautiful RV’ing story but, have you sold that F-450? TBH I would have bought the chaparral and the truck together but, as I understand that trailer has already been sold. If you haven’t sold the truck, please let me know, either way God bless you and your beautiful family.
Yes it’s sold. Sorry about that.
Hi guys! Love the video, I'm redoing a toy hauler and love the paint colors. Can you tell me how many gallons that you bought for primer and paint? I heard the $ amount but not number of gallons. Thank you!
Hi Diana! Thanks for asking. It ended up being 8 gallons of primer and 9 gallons of paint.
Beautiful couple
Hi guys. Can you tell me what size of tip your uncle used in his sprayer. Thanks
That’s a great question. I’ll find out!
The size is 4/13
Hi there what grit sand paper did you use on the paper covered wood and cabinets
We used 120 I believe.
Can I ask what brand and where did you get the hardware for the bathroom barn doors?
It’s Amazon! Here’s an affiliate link for you: ZEKOO 2.5-8 FT Super Mini Sliding... www.amazon.com/dp/B07MVZN4XJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
what is the replacement for the P trap
It should be in the description of our remodel video, I can’t remember the name of it off the top of my head. Sorry!
Did you have any factory caulking you had to deal with before you painted?
I’m pretty sure ours has silicone caulking and not too sure what to do, can I paint over it?
We did in some places. We either scarped it or painted over it. Some silicone caulking is paintable. I would test it out first and see.
Great. Thank you 😊
Did you paint the ceiling?
Nope!
Curious what tip # you shot paint with???
413 primer and 411 paint!
