Athena, The Barn Owl Mom Checks On 2 Hour Old Newborn And Siblings

Barn Owl mom, Athena, does an amazing job of keeping the recently hatched Owlets warm and fed. Here she seems to be checking on them all to be sure that all is good. She then repositions herself and settles in on top of the Owlets and 3 remaining eggs to keep them warm as she waits for Adonis to arrive with the first of hopefully several rodents/meals tonight. Hunting generally only takes place at night, particularly just after dusk and before dawn.
